Anyone with even the slightest bit of business sense could tell you that MS isn't going to launch a new console next year.

Maybe a new SKU w/Natal, like KF suggested, but not a brand new console.

We simply won't know till we know...who can say what's going on in this crazy world.

As far as NATAL is concerned, They are going to say what they need to say to hype/sell it, as any company should.

It was a strange rumor in the first place.

MS never said "Natal's launch would be as big as a new console launch." What they said was "they are treating it like a console launch," meaning only that they are using the same strategies they would use for a console launch. That means they are seeding developers with the technology early, providing development support, working out the logistics, making sure the launch library is there, creatingand promoting a unique brand, etc. before they release the device. As opposed to other peripheral releases where they just throw the thing out there and hope games support it.

In other words, Natal is "the new Xbox," at least from Microsoft's perspective.

I see it as this. MS will release Natal for 360 as an add-on. After, they will announce Xbox 720 or w/e , Natal 2.0. And if you want to take full advantage of it, buy a Xbox 720...Tjeremiah1988

Its so stupid that people think Microsoft would release a new console in 2010, Theyre destroying Sony at the moment so their is no need, 2010 looks like its going to be an epic year for the 360 with Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Final Fantasy 13, Lost Planet 2, Mass Effect 2.

Seriously, a new SKU would make perfect sense. But a whole new console? That would be one of the worst decisions they could ever make. This generation is going to have to run a lot longer for Microsoft and Sony to recoup for their losses at the beginning of this generation. Ifanybody puts out a new console in the next couple of years, it will be Nintendo. They started making money right away with the Wii, and it's also behind the other consoles from a technological standpoint.

I haven't revealed the part about Samus Clones, Time Travel so Samus can get killed, and the Silent Hill Pitstop.Darn NDA's!

I wouldn't be surprised if MS released a new SKU/Slimmed down 360 package next year, but it won't be a totally new console. ;)
