I got the CE for PS4 coming. I'll get the PC version when its $5.

I mean, the only thing you can say the PC has over the console versions would be the carried over saves from previous games (which I think they're doing that comic thing for console) but those won't amount to much. Graphically you don't know the differences yet those shots could easily be done on Xbox one sans resolution.

Not to say it won't be the best version but that's extreme hyperbole.

Just about every multiplat this gen has a visual difference on PC, that you can "tell". Especially the more demanding games. Imagine Witcher3 which was made ground up for PC.

Those lacking videos were on console or streaming on another device, or not on ultra.

@mikehockbourns: Uh, a PS3 could definitely not pull that off - the PS4 barely can. It will be the best looking game available when it comes out. Watch some videos and you will be singing a different tune. The world is massive and is filled with living, breathing villages that are filled with NPC's with AI that makes the world of Skyrim seem dead in comparison. Blades of grass move with the wind and every inch of The Witcher himself moves along with his own motion. CD Projekt is a PC developer, that's why you know nothing about this game. They've stated that they plan to make the best looking game ever made with The Witcher 3 and it's looking like they're going to pull it off.

Bullshots don't exist on PC. They are all real time with 8xMSAA 16xAF so as long as you have the hardware, it will look like that. Plus you are a PS4 peasant, you probably have no idea what texture filtering is because the PS4 can't do it anyway. Heh.

Best part, this is just high settings. Imagine the visual feast for the PC gods when they unleash ultra settings.

@gabensherald: yes they do, its called downscalling from 4-8k. Do you play on 4k, bruh? No. This is NOT the kind of visuals the large majority of pc players will be seeing. Not only is this game gonna be demanding but playing it in 4k with x4+ MSAA is not something a simple gamer will ever achieve.

Translation: My PC is shit and I won't be able to run the game properly. I can't afford an upgrade right now. So, I got to resort to the peasant PS4 version for now.

60fps can make animation look worse if it's not very good or lacking key frames, which is the case a lot of times.

You wouldn't want to play shadow of the colossus at 60fps and the Witcher isn't devil may cry, 60fps isn't necessary here.

I'll probably play it on PC and i'd lock it to 30fps for the best graphics. Maybe when we have much stronger graphics cards i'd go back and try it at 60fps.

But i'm sure the console versions will give the full witcher 3 experience.

It's going to run at the maximum graphics setting on Grid. I don't need to buy a graphics card. I actually sold my GTX 970 for a PS4.

Don't know about you but my GPU is plenty enough to run today's games at 60+ fps

I've been gaming a long, long time now and I never encountered a game where I've thought "this would be much better at 30fps". Before LCD's became popular I was gaming at 120Hz on my old CRT monitor. As I get closer to a GPU upgrade I'll even lower settings to keep frame rates up, reducing fps is not an option at all, ever and I'm a graphics whore that happily forks out for high end cards.

Never lock your frame rates to 30 on a monitor you'll kill your eyes, unless you're doing the TV thing and around 8 feet away. On a monitor 2 to 3 feet away it's slideshow material and truly awful. If your card is too weak, reduce the settings to high or even medium to keep frames up.

You don't need a great PC to run Witcher 3 at 1080p with setting that look much better than the PS4 or Xbox One. I've been running games on my PC at 1080p for longer than I can remember you can do it on any vaguely modern gaming PC or a decent old one.

That doesn't mean the console versions will look crap, they will look amazing now 'current gen' consoles have finally arrived at the 1080p party but let's not pretend they will look as good as a decent PC rig. I will be playing Witcher 3 on PS4 because I don't game much on my main PC downstairs anymore but the quality will be good enough for me I don't need endless bells and whistles. No need for anyone to be disappointed in whatever version of Witcher 3 they have coming.
