Walking around doing nothing but fatalities will get boring pretty fast... After you see the same animations 10 times in a row, you're gonna wonder what else there is to do in the game.
I mean, what else is there? Is there mounted or mobile combat on chariots? Stealth? Underwater/swimming? Battlefield/Army strategy? NPC interactions? A storyline? An economy?
What do you do in that game except slash at people over and over again?
It's definitely looking better. I wonder what changed? Hhhmmm..
I still won't get it on Day One, but I will seek a used copy on Ebay next year. Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive & Crimson Dragon will be on my list as well.
It's the only game on the Xbox One that I'm interested in playing that I can't play elsewhere. Looks very nice, but not something I'm going to buy the console for.
I like how the video is titled "story trailer," yet the trailer starts bragging about motion capture and research and stuff that has nothing to do with the story.
And what we do see of the story isn't very compelling.

Yeah, who the hell thought that was a good idea? A cinematic kill makes an impact only when used rarely, on a boss or something. If you slow mo everything on every random grunt is not awesome anymore, is just annoying as hell.
I think this is a game that you really have to wait on the reviews first. It looks great but doesn't seem to offer anything new to the genre from any videos I have seen. I think Crytek should have made this based on the Starz show Spartacus, already a fan base, great story and may have fitted the bill better as a lot of cinematic kills in that show.

I'm not interested in Ryse. I will say it looks nice, graphics wise, that's about it. But I won't go into every related topic posting the same thing over and over.

Counts for nothing if the game isn't enjoyable to play. Seeing as they essentially had no gameplay or combat system in place at all at E3, they've basically had to make a game in 8 months for a next-gen platform.
Having high hopes for it is the definition of optimism.
Assassin's Creed was boring and repetitive but millions bought it up, which is why we have one each year now. Personally, I like the history of Rome and any story really that reflects the history of my heritage. Anyways, I'm glad they finally showed story mode once again because the multi-player looks awful, I'll be honest. I'm not a graphics whore but no one can argue that this is not the best looking nex-gen title thus far. The combat could be repetitive but as long as the story pulls me in, I'll be happy.

It looks good, but the gameplay just does everything it can to disinterest me.
Sure, but what's the difference between this and the obvious attempt to rip off Halo with Killzone and Resistance? (And I for one loved Killzone 2 and 3.) Every company tries to offer alternatives to the competition's exclusives, and now that Sony has driven the God of War franchise into the toilet, I'm excited about playing another 3rd person combo-based historical melee game again. It may not do it for you, but it doesn't mean the game will be bad because it's derivative of another once-great series.
I've flip flopped on Ryse quite a bit, but I have to say this new trailer is impressive. Don't know whether to get this or Dead Rising 3 at launch. Ryse looks shorter but more graphically impressive, whereas Dead Rising 3 looks like it will have more creative gameplay opportunities, co-op and interesting Smartglass integration. (That in-game cellphone feature sounds really neato.)

The new one looks decent.The tree climbing also looks very smooth.
