However, I like how they are doing the more logical thing for a game-made-movie by doing it all CGI and not crappy cheesy live action. Live action video game movies bomb the hardest.

I can say without hyperbole that that is the worst thing I have ever seen.

Actually this might be a goos thing. Maybe now people can bugger off and get their "passive storytelling" fix from the movie and leave those of us who appreciate gameplay alone.

what the hell is the point? Did anyone even bother playing or caring about Heavenly Sword? Always just looked like crappier God of War to me.

They honestly could have just done that. That Ascension trailer was interesting enough. Just actually try to show a decent mix of that and the action/violence in the movie instead of how the games do it and that would work just fine.

Sly and Ratchet are at least promising. The GT movie,I don't know. Think they mentioned it being like a documentary about someone going pro from GT Academy? Eh, maybe that could work. The GT Academy episodes seem to be a big enough hit.

Who would allow that type of graphics we've moved on from that CGI about 10 years ago in films, i'd rather they just put a expert gamer on the PS3 game and let them play through it as a movie, why is story telling in films for games so hard when most games get it right.
