To install everything it will take a hole lot of space on your SSD
Has "Ray Tracing Data"
That's way smaller than the 240GB install people were complaining about. I don't play COD so it doesn't affect me but it's definitely monstrous in memory size.
The game I am waiting for is Cyberpunk 2077 and I can't wait for it and I don't care if it's 250GB install size. My Xbox Series X just arrived, I will be opening it a little later. I am now transferring the installed games from my internal HD of my One X, then I will plug in the Series X and just move the games from my external WD Passport to the new SSD and be set to go.
With 1TB of SSD space I completely understand that if I can't just install everything I want, I have to put the games I am playing only. But I have 6 TB external USB WD Passport drive so I have tons of games already there and it will be very easy to move things around so I am not downloading 100s of GBs like an idiot every day.
Good thing I can shuffle things around to external storage. But for now I have no desire to pick this up. I won't support a $70 price on anything for starters. Not a fan of the competitive MP. That runway gameplay teaser was awful action movie on rails bullshit, so unless reviews show something redeeming, that just leaves zombies... $70, nah.
Sure but Cerny said this isn't a issue as games will require less data next generation so games will be smaller than this generation...
I can't believe people actually bought that lie.

I can't believe you are saying he was lying. Cerny is a genius and you wish he was working for Nvidia. I am surprised you didn't know that when you see a street light multiple times in a game, the game has to store that streetlight multiple times on the hard-drive. This consumes more space. Now if you apply that to everything in a game level, you are consuming significantly more space than you need to. COD just isn't utilizing the true capabilities of the SSD and is still making games for last gen hard-drives. You PC gamers don't know anything about consoles and should keep gaming on your bottleneck ridden system instead of hating on systems that are more efficient.
Hopefully, I was able to capture the essence of ignorance.😂
@Pedro:
Cerny is slowly becoming Peter Molyneux.
He is literally reading off of a engineers sheet of what the hardware can do in a best case scenario environment and or if the developer needs/even cares for the feature and then giving the impression that this is what all games will be doing from now on vibes... Its no different then people reading the specifications of HDMI 2.1 and saying 8K!
What Cerny said was and is possible right now just like 60FPS and 120FPS is... Trouble is none of the developers are doing it because it requires complete overhauls of their engines.

then after that a year or to testing said engines...
but hey its now realy easy to spot hard core console fan boys.

He said it would lead to smaller game and patch sizes, and/or bigger and more detailed worlds.
Ex. The PS4 version of Spiderman Miles Morales is 52GBs while the PS5 version is 50GBs.
So yeah, games can be smaller; the things he says are based on actual results from developing games because you know, that's literally what he does when he's not working on hardware development.
