Because we never suspend disbelief for any other game, right? :P That's also in the final game. It's one of the main gameplay mechanics. You have get up high and perch on top of high towers at such, so you can gaze around and remove some of the fog of war from your map, like in RTSs. Then to get down, you "fly" down into a bale of hay. I think it looks and will probably feel cool enough that I can put aside the impossibility of doing something like that and surviving aside for a moment.

I'm wondering if it is extremely difficult to die from jumping off extremely high places. It's so unrealistic that it annoys me.

Not too keen on the way the combat looks, I'll have to feel it for myself...

Other than that...I was on the fence originally because of some poor showings (like E3 this year), but it looks like Ubisoft Montreal really pulled it together and has another winner on their hands. The exploration and free running...not to mention overall presentation look (and sound) top-notch.

The real question is which version to get? PS3, or 360?

If you can't suspend disbelief when it comes to someone jumping down into a bale of hay and surviving, the real plot of the game probably won't appease you. ;)

No spoilers please I didn't even know about the holographic whatchamacallit. I mean I kind of knew something but I didn't know that in particuliar.

Ubisoft Montreal is a tremendous developer, I don't care what anyone says.

I'm having a hard time believing this game merits a 10. I'm sorry but it just doesn't look that good to me. Do I want to play it? Yes, it's on my must by list. But a 10? Please.heretrix

People need to stop realizing "10" doesn't necessarily mean it's perfect.

I guess we're wired that way now though.

Did the PC version get pushed back?tramp

I don't want to bash PC , but those kind of game just doesn't fit the platform . I can't see myself playing this , or GoW , or NG ...... hell just look at DMC3 on PC . IT'S HORRIBLE .

its overlooked because fanboys only play/hype exclusives...and seeing as this is system wars, 80% of the people here are fanboys :(

It's not overlooked at all, it was the years most wanted multiplat behind GTAIV. It's art direction, gamepaly style and concept deteriorates from the norm, that's why it's going to do very well.

It's not just that, if the PC version was fully optimised then you could play with controller, but those games are better on consoles due to being able to play on bigger TV's. Also the PC version has been delayed but it wasn't going to sell on PC anyway.

I am excited about all 3 of their announced projects now.(Assassin's creed, SC:Conviction, Farcry 2)

Even with a controller , DMC3 was all mess up , the left stick was for camera and right for movement , took me 3 hours to fix it , and yet , the camera wasn't working anymore :roll: .
