MW3 jab at BF3? or am I over-analyzing?

This trailer was made after BF3's "above the call" trailer. im curious if this was a subtle jab back at Dice. maybe my speculating is entirely false. what do you think?

Your just looking too much in to the quote..... Its just makarov and price going at each other. Its like a war between the 2. At least thats what I got from MW2, and it seems like a bigger emphasis in MW3.

indeed its going to be the EXACT same MP (with balance tweaks), the engine is fossils grade old. once again PC is probably going to get the tailor made loving denied that it so rightly deserves. once again activision will charge 12 bucks for a dlc, once again activision will delay or deny whole patches to the pc community, and once again 13 year olds will get their moms n dads to buy it for em off the shelves at gamestop..

whats NOT going to fail about it.. at least bf3 is going to have the visual quality and the tailor made pc loving present and ya know were going to get patches the same time as you.

All corporations smack talk and do bad buisness all companies/corps are as bad as each other contrary to popular system wars myth.They all just show it in diffrent ways.

Acti and Ea are just as bad as one another on the DLC front and so is any other company this gen, they are all in competition and aint no best buddies.The devs themselves tend to be friendly but the board room execs only care bout the cold hard cash and trying to make the competition look bad.It wasnt that long ago Acti was essentially seen as pure evil with their $15 DLC and the IW fiasco.

MW3 has actually been pretty joke free against DICE. I mean, its not like they're worried, the CoD series is still very much alive and expected to sell more then BF3, but EA has been the one making all those immature remarks. Personally i think its very unprofessional and does nothing towards making BF3 a better or more wanted game, except by riling up the fanbases and making me respect them less, especially when they just ride CoD's coattails in the marketing and put it up on a pedestal. What does that say for BF3?

Still, both games will be fun. If I made my purchasing decisions based on publisher idiocy, I wouldn't own anything but indie games from Steam. For the record though, it takes a lot of dbaggery to make Activision seem like the good guy in comparison.

I really loved EA for awhile recently, but this whole BF3 VS MW3 thing is pathetic. Activly saying you want to see the other franchise FAIL is pathetic. I hope something happens bad to Jeff Brown from EA.

After Eric from activision politly calling for a verbal ceasefire, Jeff Brown from EA responded:
