MS plans "Shock N Awe" campaign for 2010

Well, they've got the money.

So MS is planing on doing heavy bombing on Sony because Sony has WMDs and while it'll at first be impressive, they will spend the next 5 years bumbling and fumbling the situation which will turn into backlash after it turns out that Sony doesn't have WMDs and MS went in there under false pretenses. And MS will have such a cluster**** on their hands they don't know how or if it'll ever end? Right?

But still its good to see MS bringing out the big guns and taking the fight to Sony.

2010 should be intersting,especially as cows seem to think teh PS3 has it in the bag.

I'm gonna have to agree. As a huge 360 fan, I wish Microsoft would just ditch natal and instead use all of their money on creating new IP's and exclusive games. But who knows maybe Natal will be as good/revolutionary as they're hyping it to be.

NATAL looks pretty terrible right now, everything needs SOME kind of input device, good luck to them, I'd get it if they actually released something fun/innovative with it, but I expect it to be >$100, so it better be like revolutionary to be worth that much.110million

So basically they realised that they hate gaming and want to make as much$$$$$$ as possible so they're going to launch Natal+MS advertising, and themedia will eat it all upsowe'll have a 2nd Wii on our hands. I will be shocked and awed if this campaign announces some new GAMES instead of bully-marketing the same games we already knew about. The only reason Sony started doing well is because they released some good exclusives. The price drop and new features certainly don't hurt, but without the exclusives none of that would matter.

I want MS to announce some new IPs already. The few new IPs we hear about seem to just get lost in the shuffle. What ever happened to that MMO shooter, Huxley?

The only thing I can think of whenI hear M$ is planning a "shock and awe for 2010" is them forming a army and taking over the world and who ever remains will be their slaves making halo shirts

the only way ms is going to shock and awe me is they come out with a 360 that doesn't scratch the hell out of your games i'm getting mass effect 2 and if my 360 scratches it up like the first one i'm done with ms
