Underrated:
This plus I think Kinect 2 will be phenom when used from a seated position in conjunction with duel analog hybrid control.Overated - GDDR5
Underated - The cloud
RR360DD
Overrated: The Cloud, GDDR5, Xbox tv (just for the fact they pushed it hard in the reveal, and you have to pay for that feature if i'm not mistaken and the fact that it is only availible in the U.S.A, plus it's only with a certain cable company i think :S.)
Â
Underratted: Remote play/ Remote assistance
Overrated: Kinect (it will not be as good as they say and advertise--just like before: it will be fun for niche categories and titles, but it will not add much anything to the core experience)
Underrated: Sony (I know a lot of people are liking Sony right now--but a lot of people are thinking short term: I imagine we will see a Sony surge of success given their more developer-friendly design/philosophy this generation, strong 3rd party support, price advantage, and ability to invest and push new IPs from strong 1st party studios)
PS4 - 8 gigs DDR5 = overrated
PS4 - GPU = underrated

Xbox One = 8 gigs DDR3 = overrated
Xbox One = Time Warner cable deal and other cable company deals that offer the chance to ditch your cable box and its monthly rental fee, thus saving you money every month by logging online to your cable package through the Xbox One. Saving that box rental fee alone will likely save you over 100 bucks a year in the US and that's major for me = underrated

Overrated:
1. I would have to say Sony's hardware advantage, especially GDDR5.
2. The amount of fear about the X1's original DRM policies.
Underrated:
1. The Kincet's potential appeal to people outside of the "hardcore gamers" market.
2. The potential of the cloud in the mid to later half of this generation of consoles.Â
Do you have a link where I can read more about that? I'm not quite sure it will work that way. There's no coaxial input on the Xbox One is there? Unless the service is going to work through an internet connection we're still going to need that cable box for the HDMI out.Xbox One = Time Warner cable deal and other cable company deals that offer the chance to ditch your cable box and its monthly rental fee, thus saving you money every month by logging online to your cable package through the Xbox One. EDIT: looks like it will work by streaming the content, and it will work on 360s too. Pretty cool but I'm not sure how many more devices I can have streaming in my house before I start to see a big hit on quality. Not willing to give the box away just yet.
