For PS4, i can do $399.99 for a basic bundle (I'd pay more for a BC unit, if given the option). Can't do anymore than that because i want a few games too, not to mention other possible accessories. You?

IDK, depends which is the better console after a year or two.

I probably gonna go PC gaming for next-gen first. In terms of release entry prices however anything above $299.99 is a no go for me so Sony better go cheap this coming gen if they hope to survive. Make the machine powerful, but not FIVE HUNDRED AND NINTY NINE US DOLLARS powerful.

400$

ill give sony my account details and they can take as mucha s they want
seriously, i paid $720 for the ps3 in 08 with gta4...so if i decide to get it around launch... i'd pay $800 for it, Australian $$$ of course
Hard to answer really, as TBH, I can pretty much afford any price they ask for. For me its more a case of what is actually offered for said price, and if it's good value, rather than just the price itself.

For me? $300

#8 Posted by Jonwh18 (9350 posts) -

$300 max. $250 after its been out for a year. $200 on black friday.

Since I got a gaming PC, buying a console at launch is no more for me.

If the PS4 doesn't disappoint (hopefully no touch screen controller!), I'll get it late in the generation, so I will probably buy it for £200 at most. I'm expecting the launch price to be £350 ~ £410.

$350....but i'm still waiting for one price drop.

#11 Posted by Haziqonfire (36344 posts) -
$349.99. Anything higher than $399.99 is going to be too much.

400 is reasonable and acceptable for me, as TC said i'm willing to spend another 100 for BC ! Although Sony buying Gaikai, may indicate that we will be able to play PS3 games on the Orbis/PS4 !

I've already got one...

I paid $350 for the Wii U. I would have preferred it to be $300, but it was a Christmas present to myself. I won't buy either of the other two consoles unless they're the same price or cheaper. I don't expect that to happen.

$400 new for a top end model at launch, otherwise I can wait a bit. I was willing to pay more for a PS3 at launch but I had more money to burn then.

'Bout tree fiddy.
#21 Posted by Chozofication (2922 posts) -

It greatly depends.

#22 Posted by FPSfan1985 (2008 posts) -
$1000 if its worth it.

About that time I noticed that the Asian man trying to sell me a video game console was actually a eight story tall crustacean!

i miss the days when consoles launched for $199.
#26 Posted by WilliamRLBaker (28421 posts) -

250-350

I wont be getting the next generation of systems at launch Ill be likely getting them 4-5 years into the generation when they go down far far into prices.

#27 Posted by Ly_the_Fairy (8652 posts) -

I'll pay as much as the games demand (assuming I have the money to do so).

If the trends were to continue exactly as they are this generation then I'd spend probably $200-$300 on the Xbox, and maybe $50 for the PS4.

I'm not sure about the Wii U yet. I don't have enough money to buy one now, but I don't think I would buy one even if I had a spare $10,000 lying around.

I'd buy a 3DS at the price it is now, but I have no money :(

300$. I can wait a few years.

Not really that excited about gaming right now, so it's not like the next gen has me foaming at the mouth or anything.

#29 Posted by HarlockJC (25546 posts) -
If it comes with a new cool gimmick then maybe up to about $600...With nothing new to add around $300
#30 Posted by -CC- (1893 posts) -

499 if they pack some good hardware in it.

#31 Posted by getyeryayasout (7599 posts) -
$0.00 if no Used, Barrowed, Rented.
#32 Posted by hrt_rulz01 (6213 posts) -
Not sure yet... I'm mostly a PC gamer so I'll be in no rush to buy them.
#33 Posted by UsefulTool (14 posts) -
$0.00 for whatever Sony somes up with.
#34 Posted by tubbyc (3766 posts) -

1000AUD. That was the PS3 launch price here. I'm ok with that for about a decade of entertainment. I'm going to be more picky about when I buy this time, depending on the games.

#35 Posted by Sword-Demon (6970 posts) -

I won't pay more than $300 for a new console, and even then, it would need an outstanding lineup.

#36 Posted by BranKetra (48743 posts) -
Around $350.
#37 Posted by hartsickdiscipl (14787 posts) -

$0.00

#38 Posted by silversix_ (14789 posts) -
499.99 and this is not the most i will spend, this is what i want it to be. If its under, system will be weak crap and outdated in 6 months or less. If its more then its too much for something that can only play games.
#39 Posted by darkspineslayer (19756 posts) -
$400 max, and that better be the premium unit.
#40 Posted by Heil68 (45145 posts) -
For the Ps4 it doesn't matter. It can be $1,000 and it will be day fuking 1.

Can't say I care. My favorite franchise has basically been disgraced by some amatuer dev. Not really excited about playng games, after that

#47 Posted by Chemistian (635 posts) -
As with most of you, $300 - $400 is about it. However, if Microsoft intends to charge for Xbox Live on the next generation, XBL needs to get a lot better, at least at launch, or Sony will have my business.
#48 Posted by FlamesOfGrey (7511 posts) -
$500 or less for the PS4. $300 or less for the next Xbox unless Microsoft brings some new original exclusive IPs.
#49 Posted by Yangire (8795 posts) -

$100-200 or less, depending on the consoles library it could go higher.

#50 Posted by DivineSword (15759 posts) -

Really depends on the content that comes with the console, if it just your basic controller, cables, and console then probably around 350.
