Actually stuff that, modded GTAV is actually pretty stunning

Though when you look at modded GTA IV is it any surprise that there's an excellent looking game hidden in there. Not saying it was bad to begin with (on PC of course) but this is better and almost looks real at times

Looks awesome, does he have 5000 subscribers yet to get the release date? If not let's make it happen.

Mods are awesome for SP games. Mods on MP games are terrible and ruin them

Thanks Counterstrike, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress, Insurency, Red Orchestra, etc... for ruining our beloved games.

Even capture the flag was once a mod. Now it's in every single game...

game mode mods are ok, but the cheating mods do ruin gaming.

Correct, "mods don't count because they aren't good/mainstream on our system of choice yet".

Although it was quite a bit more common last gen, there are still some goons on video game sites that don't include MMO,RTS,TBS games in library lists. Or saying "other than X PC genre" before making a list to pit against PC.

Well mod is short for modificiation so where do we draw the line?

I drew the line at modificitations for games that alter the game in a way that it is played differently.

People that modify games for personal benefit, aka cheating, are of course despicable.

It's been a while since I heard people say stuff like indie games don't count, or RTS don't count.

As always. Saturated colors and way too much bloom to make the game appear nicer. Try these so called graphics mods. They're worthless 90% of the time outside of taking photos to wow gullible people into thinking the game actually looks great when it puts a strain on your eyes after staring at it for more than 5 minutes. They just use a shitload of reshade mods, none of that enhances quality.

i draw the line at anything that gives an unfair advantage in a game. Modding Dragons into GTA? Cool, Modding OSK weapons with aimbot into overwatch, not cool.

Thank you. Those so-called modders are a bunch of frauds. Real mode are things like Skyrim 4K textures or Lighting Overhaul. Reshade is a joke.

I saw Skyrim mods too and they got some rediculous ones that make the game look unrecognizable. I mean it's cool that people want to enhance old games but the mods don't look right without the original art direction.

Lots of reshades are actually really nice and don't hurt the eyes at all. It's mostly DoF stuff that hurts the eyes, but you can easily disable that.

Besides, some help actual gameplay, like this Dead Space reshade that actually made the game quite more intense to play through.

Yeah, some reshades/enbs can easily make textures pop through lighting changes.

It is quite like tricking the eyes, but it works incredibly well sometimes. Sometimes... not so much.

I read both. I have no interest at all in GTAV but have been using mods on PC forever so decided to comment.

@Cloud_imperium: I'm hoping modders get busy with No Man Sky when its released. They could really add some cool features to make the game awesome. I hope the pro gen factor doesn't diminish what modders can do with NMS.
