You guys have no idea how much I loved the first game and then the second one on next-gen platform looks like a really nice step up.
BTW, EA conference currently live here: http://www.twitch.tv/twitch

I liked how everything was absed around constant movement and speed. Exactly what the original game needed but cocked it up
They hardly showed anything, the entire EA conference was shit to me. The best part was having max headroom presenting it.

Lots of people complaining that they showed off too much "concept" footage but I'd rather that than nothing
I enjoyed the first one but the story was meh. Level designs were great though.
At times they were but it fell flat on its face several times. If you have to stop and think "where do I go now" then it's not great level design for a game based around momentum

Still, I feel they could have shown more gameplay of Dragon age of something that they actually had ready.
Looks like Mirror's Edge without textures.
Their entire E3 was so meh. The only interesting stuff they had to show was so conceptual. Thank God, Giantbomb made it worthwhile.
EA is so full of shit. I'm hyped for this game but as of now, I don't even think it exists outside of that "prototype gameplay". Fucking cunts I swear.
I absolutely loved the first one and I've been waiting so long for a new one. I'm disappointed how they went about to show this game. They made it seem like some side project they're making in the basement of EA.
Can't wait to get my hands on it and jump on some of those poor fools like they were goddamn koopa troopas myself.
Day one.
Got the same tingles from that trailer that I got from the E3 2007 (?) launch trailer of the first game.
Mirror's Edge was pretty much my GOTG last gen. Easily.
So far everything looks kind of bland and white. I realize that was common in the first game but the first game also used color pretty profoundly when they did sparingly use it, and white helped colors stand out and guide via "runner vision". I realize it's still in production and the look hasn't been fully flushed out (I hope not at least). I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll introduce color into the environment.

well it will look like that( straight from mirrorsedge.com):

that's concept art, the video they showed at E3 was pretty absent of color, even the first game that took a minimalist approach to color had a lot more by contrast
I imagine the environments in the video were primarily illustrative and thus there really wasn't any need for it

I actually liked that they showed concept footage. It gives you a small stance on where they are in the development process, and gives you an idea of what the game is going to be like. Better than showing a damn CGI trailer like everyone else.
Not to mention you turn a leak into a reveal.
