The experience on PS4 has been very powerful. Compared to the architecture of the PS3, this new console is much more similar to a PC so it’s easier to develop on it. The two versions (PC and PS4) are at the same level, in fact we can ensure 1080P on both the platforms with a minimum stable frame rate of 30FPS due to the large amount of bikes that race at the same time.

We don’t have a specific preference for one or another console. I’d like to explain that to all the fans! This year was a matter of time constraints and keeping a high standard, so we’ve decided to keep the exclusive on PS4.

Ouch.

Nah, PS3 never had it this bad. This is the equivalent of being a Wii gamer.

OK. That's interesting because last I heard, MotoGP14 was going to be a next-gen release (PC/PS4/XB1). So they're dropping the X1? Interesting.

MotoGP 2013 was the best motorcycle racing game I'd played in aaaaaaaages ... but man ... the graphics were pretty damn poor, FXAA injector helped out a touch, but really it wasn't superior.

Seems they're aiming for 60 fps on PS4 with a low poly scene, and a minimum of 30 fps when there's polys (bikes) galore on screen.

Because it was harder to develop for, not because it was inferior...

Another racer that cant do 1080p 60FPS on the PS4 lol I'll stick to Forza 5 1080p 60FPS on my Xbox One.

#10 Posted by noodlevixen (480 posts) -

Was this series ever relevant on ANY console?

#11 Posted by FoxbatAlpha (10669 posts) -

Lol they weren't even payed to be exclusive and the dumbass admits to all the lost sales.

i'm going to say no.

sim racing is niche. motorbike sim racing is a niche of that niche. that's not to say there aren't humans out there thoroughly enjoying motorbike sim racing on PC/Consoles.

the driving in motorbike games is really hard to 'get right' .. to get 'realistic', partly because of the complexities of real life riding, but i digress.

anyway back to my short answer to conclude: no i don't think so me old mate.

Lol you do realize they're skipping the XboxOne because they think it's inferior, right?

What does "keeping a high standard" mean to you?

#17 Posted by FoxbatAlpha (10669 posts) -

@CyberLips: hi standard my ass. They want to kiss Sony ass in hopes of someday to have the backing to be a real studio.

I thought not. So it the game doesn't mater anyway.

i would be interested to know if they would ever make an xbox one version of MotoGP14. it can definitely handle a game like this, just drop the res a touch (if necessary).

i mean, if they plan to, why not just announce now that it's coming, but it's going to be a bit slow. like dark souls 2 on pc. that wasn't the end of the world.

Well, since it's MotoGP "14" i don't they will, but maybe next year.

well not more than twelve months late ... of course!

a couple of months late might be an option. basically, after PS4 MotoGP 2014 but before PS4 MotoGP 2015.

was typing on the phone, use contextual clues. "We don't have preference for one console" "ps4 is so much like a pc its easy to develop for" "due to time constraints and high standards"

you seriously think this equates to xbox 1 is inferior?

They said they're keeping it a PS4 exclusive so maybe not even after MotoGP 15....

#30 Posted by LadyBlue (4937 posts) -

Lems wont like this, but it's the sad reality of the xbone.

yeah maybe not of course. i just wonder if porting the game post-PS4/PC might be viable, and if maybe they'll do that. i actually think that would be a pretty good strategy. go for the biggest platforms first, then maybe outsource the other ports or something while working on MotoGP 2015.

then again i don't know. that game bound by flame skipped xb1 as well.

Every multiplatform proves that XB1 is inferior.

What did you expect them to say? "XB1 sucks so we decided to develop the game for PS4 and PC which are far superior and easier to develop for"

Well is one less game on xbox one,one more game on PS4 on a console which is already at a disadvantage game wise, both score and in quantity of games.

You keep adding the superior part to the statement. No where in their statement did they mention the PS4 being superior. We are not discussing every multi platform we are discussing the comments of this developer about why they didn't develop a x1 version.

that they can't keep high standards on the xbone due to time constraints?

if they have a time constraint and the platform was not easy to develope for what do you think the outcome would be? seriously dude use your brain this isn't complicated and this isn't some dig at the xbox1 even if it was who gives a shit about a game not coming to their system?

at least lems don't have such an influential person as gabe newell telling them that their console is a piece of shit. In fact, most devs actually defend the xbone.

And the PS3 missed out on tons of games too in its early days like Mass Effect, Tales of Vesperia, Dead or Alive 4, Lost Odyssey, The Witcher 2, etc.

#43 Posted by BigBadBully (1083 posts) -

Must be high standards since its also releasing on xbox 360 and ps3......

True, but I'm still waiting for the official technical breakdown from Richard X. Lolbetter just in case.

Plus, Xbones don't need no motocycle games anyways, that's what my friend told me.
