I guess that's cool, but that is a pretty basic smartphone. Low resolution screen, small internal storage, older quad core, half gig of ram. It's a $50 phone

Storage however is expandable and is good size, it's a good way for people to avoid contract or if they need second phone, smart move sicne 520-521 were popular for good value and were the only Windows Phone that sell. Now maybe Windows phone will increase 4% yoy this year with this bundle. Maybe a lumia 830 bundle with Halo 5.

The phone sadly however is $80 in most places but on sale for $50 or $60 at others. So it's not that cheap yet but hey free with bundle of Halo Master Chied collection.

Maybe all bundles could include phone,. including 3 years of office 365 Windows Phone will gain 10% increase yoy.

MS is trying to dump it's remaining stock of 635's to make way for the Lumia 640 & 640 XL. I think MS is on the right track with lower-end/mid-range phones. The flagship phone will be dead in a few more years. People are going to realize they don't need to spend $200+ on a down payment and sign into a 2-year contract where they are paying more per month and getting less data. Instead, they can just buy a phone for under $150 and use it on a prepaid service. I think anyone who pays $800 for a phone (that's the actual price, not "free") and signs into a contract is a fool. Android phones are too laggy right now running on low-end hardware, so the experience is not so great, but WP8.1 on a mid-range device is as fluid as on their flagships. Chinese phone manufactures are having great success with this strategy as well.

Someones doesn't know how well the cheap Windows phones sell. A lot is what they do. This actually not too dumb of an idea but profits will be removed they could have gained extra $80 for phone.

Look at it this way, it's an Xbox One with a free MP3 player/media device.

I would highly recommend against the Windows Phone OS if people are coming from Android or Apple app markets.

They'd be better off bundling it with the PS4. At least then it would actually sell.

Compare to Iphone like total shit,even more compare to Android.

Sony should have tried something like this before they closed their cell phone division.

In all seriousness, i imagine that people would take Windows Phone much more seriously if it could run the same kind of applications as the full verison of Windows.

Hopefully they have an insert that tells the person to download the smartglass app, will help with the loss of the Kinect functionality. As the budget phone, the 635 is a great phone. When I dropped my 925, I picked one up as I waited to find a 925 at the right price; I only missed the camera capabilities (the main reason I have a Windows Phone).
