When Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) had announced at E3 2015 that it will be releasing the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, rumors had spread that the company was working with Scuf Gaming on the controller technology. Recently, these rumors were confirmed when both the companies signed a licensing agreement which allows Microsoft to use Scuf Gaming’s intellectual property and patents. The agreement makes Scuf Gaming the official and exclusive third-party accessory provider for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller.
Scuf Gaming is a provider of custom controllers for different platforms. The controllers are expensive but arguably the best ones money can buy. Many users claim them to be a work of art. Most of the professional gamers vouch for the SCUF controllers and find them worth using in tournaments.
“SCUF continues to improve the way gamers use a controller, reducing hand strain and enhancing the gameplay experience,” Mr. Spencer said. “We are pleased to work with SCUF to bring this project to the masses.”

This is a good move by both the companies, as Microsoft has been on the right track recently and with this partnership, it will go a long way when it comes to providing excellent controllers that are used by professionals and elite gamers.
Personally, I can't wait to see what other customizations are available through this partnership. I guess you can say the best controller is still getting better. How is that annoying blue light doing on your *cough, cough..........never mind.
Will this mean Microsoft can now win the console war? Hell no, but it solidifies that they are aiming to satisfy what gamers want. And DAMN IT, we would expensive, cool, customizable controllers that are the BEST!
