This week's hardware sales figures for Japan are out, and they're quite predictable, with the DS holding the forts at the handheld front, and the PS3 smothering everything on the console front

Ps3 has been beating Wii for a few weeks now. It'll be very fun to see how Japan (don't know how big it is there) reacts when GT5 is released. I don't know if Wii has any big releases this year.Chutebox

I think the release of the 3Ds (over there in Japan) is likely going to Kill sales for the other systems (though Im not saying that they will drop anywhere close to zero)

The sales numbers are ever changing, the Psp go has been doing poorly ever since its luanch, I agree sony would probably do better without it.

DS is obviously right. If you read it too quick to understand the DS numbers you might say PSP. If you chose PS3 you might just be thinking of consoles. 360 just failed.hexashadow13

Kirby's pretty big in Japan and there hasnt been a Kirby game on the Wii yet. It should draw in some strong numbers.

I think the Wii will still lead in sales (JP) in 2010. Close race.

What's hilarious is how the PS3 manages to once in a blue moon beat the Wii in Japan... but the DS still wrecks it and Nintendo wins :lol:.

Sony did every company a favour with the pspgo. They showed how everyone would respond to 100% digital distribution. I'm impressed that the normal psp is selling so much. Thats what Valkyria chronicles will do. They should have made it a ps3 gameAndrovinus

and that lead in the us is bigger on wii vs ps3 then the lead on ps3 is for the past few weeks in japan to wii

-which is by what 4 thousand units this week

expect a big spike in wiis sales come nov dec, those always are nintendos hot months
