The hype of Operation Moonfall died really quickly.

When I first played MM, I didn't like it. I said I did, because I'd get crucified if I didn't. In recent years, storytelling in gaming has been better appreciated, so MM got a burst of hype. I fell into it, hard.

Now that I've played MM again with the remastered version, I enjoyed it a lot. The quest logue, precise time traveling and other conveniences really addressed the problems I had with the original.

At the same time, I feel like now that people have finally played it again, they're starting to realize it's not the holy grail they thought it was.

Not better than Ocarina. Sorry. Anju and Kafei quest is good for a side quest, but it doesn't beat having 4 extra dungeons. If you've consumed any real literature, I doubt you'd consider it a grand story experience.

In general, like Ocarina of Time, not very well. The 3 day system still impresses me a great deal though.

It's still super fucking tedious, and I quit when the egg collecting quest had to be redone because of some time limit. I like that it's not as bloated as Ocarina with a shitton of dungeons (that generally aren't good) and they have a much smaller field as opposed to the garbage that is Hyrule Field. I also like Snowhead and the core concept behind the game, along with how emotional some of the game can be with its fantastic soundtrack.

But goddamn. It's so fucking shitty sometimes between its dungeons, and pretty much everything before Snowhead Temple sucks. I get giving it props because it's weird and atypical, especially in a series that is highly formulaic, but it's not a good game. Not even close.

No one can say that Majora's Mask isn't super innovative.

It's just that I consider the new formula in MM different - not better.

It aged quite well. Since its the same game overall, I still have many of the same problems with it. OOT 3D is a better remake imo, but I know some people praise MM to the heavens. I'm not just one of them. Still worth getting though.

Majora's Mask is right behind Persona 3 for my favorite game so I'm really biased when I say it's still excellent

It's aged very well- the game was prescient with its persistent game world, and its real time quests. On the whole, it's a dense and richly rewarding game, and one that suits the marketplace far more today than it ever did back at launch.

The status of Majora's Mask as one of the best Zelda games of all time was only re-affirmed with Majora 3D.

It has aged very well, since no other game has done the scripted world time travel thing as well as MM did it. So it's still mostly unique, brilliantly designed, and a joy to play.

It's just as tedious, annoying, unique, and special as it was in 2000. Fuglier, but I still dig it. It's anti-Zelda in a lot of ways, and that's what makes it cool. Narrative wise it's one of the few examples of actual compelling story telling in a video game.

I loved it back then but now. I say OOT is better because it is not a tedious to play the songs over and over again. The side quests were much better in MM though. For example, in the Stone temple putting the statues on the things over and over go annoying to me. But that's also because I forgot how to navigate that dungeon since it's been so long.

I played MM for the first time on the 3DS about a week ago. It has its odd design quirks, but it is unique enough that it has become one of my favorite games on the system, and even up there with some of my favorite games of all time.
It stands tall and proud among a modern library of other 3DS games that could be considered classics, that alone is enough to make me think this game has aged well.

Better than OoT, which people can somehow unironicly still say is still a GOAT.
