I have bolded the ones that I think you should especially look into, but that's a pretty massive list of games, and people with 3DSs should look into procuring some of the titles on offer. I especially recommend the Atlus games (Devil Survivor Overclocked and Shin Megami Tensei IV are amazing).

Yeah, it came back earlier today. All Nintendo online services are back.

Probably should check out Crimson Shroud and VVVVVV at those prices. Wish it extended also to some of the Virtual Console titles, but can't complain about the amount of titles receiving the discounts there.

Cool! I bought a $50 eshop card. Is it safe to put it on my NNID wallet or is there a chance I would get hacked?

It happened to me with XBL when i put $50 on it and Sony recently made me change my password with ps4, someone was probably trying to hack my account since I had my amex saved to my psn.

Crimson Shroud is great, I highly recommend it.

You're not gonna get hacked, but I'd wait till tomorrow, when things are stable. The last thing you want is for your code to not go through because the eShop fucks up the connection, and you not being able to redeem it later.

You must be the only one. Unless you haven't actually tried downloading -- I've been able to get to the menu, but not actually do anything beyond that. It gives me an error saying it's down for "maintenance" right now. Also called earlier today and got a pre-recorded message about how Nintendo is "aware" of the service issues, so it's clearly a pretty widespread issue.

I didn't download anything, yes. I got in and redeemed my Digital Deluxe points. Almost bit the bullet on Devil Survivor Overclocked, decided to wait till I got my eShop cards from Best Buy.

My 3DS and WiiU haven't gotten the memo : (

Ghost Recon Shadow Wars, incredibly underrated game. Tempted to get Devil Summoner. Any of you weebos like blab or char play it?(I know you have, dont lie)

If you don't have Shin Megami Tensei IV, buy that first. You won't understand me when I say this right now, but the 3DS actually got two lines of Pokemon games this year and SMT IV is the better one between them.

It's still my favorite 3DS title this year and up there with TLoU for my favorite.

As for me, I'm buying

SMT Soul Hackers

and

SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked, so no, I haven't played it. It's a remake of a 2010 DS title. There's a sequel for the DS but I don't know if a remake is coming for that one.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars is a damn fine game. Those of you who liked Fire Emblem Awakening will enjoy it.

SSF4 for 10 is so tempting.

If you mean Soul Hackers, stay the **** away. It's a good game, but not the best way to start out with Shin Megami Tensei. I'd suggest either Overclocked or Shin Megami Tensei IV first.

Cave Story...one of my all-time favorites for seven bucks. Already downloaded it for 3DS a while back, but man is that a superb little adventure. Yeah, it was Freeware at one point, but it is worth a small fee.

I have not played it, my son tells me there is a lot of differences between the two. He loves Cave Story.

@HarlockJC: From what I understand, the 3DS eShop version is the same as the PC update of the game called Cave Story +. I really do not know what is different, because I have not played the original, but this one does have some little unlockables and alternate endings.

The Atlus game sale is nice but with Atlus games I'd rather want the physical copies with the art books and sound tracks.

Good luck finding a copy of something like Devil Survivor Overclocked with all that, when that game released two years ago. The first run print copies are all sold out (those are the ones with all the goodies), and if there was ever a reprint (which I doubt), i will have none of this stuff. The eShop version is probably a good bet in this case.
