360 almost sold 500,000 launch week.

MS never has a chance in Japan, so who cares.

368k is not 'almost 500k' its a good way off. x360 launched around 7 months before ps3 and was a lot cheaper. this was also a period where japan hadnt embraced mobile/handheld gaming like it has now. not only will x1 be more expensive than ps4 by the time it releases they wont have many, if any, japan centred games either. japan bought ps4 purely for future titles that will be released and given how strong sony brand is over there and x360 weak performance there is no way x1 will even make a dent in japan. 100k at max during launch week

Japan has increasingly lost interest in consoles, and hates big bulky electronics in general. So I don't think it stands a chance of even beating the 360's opening week.

There are a few americans in japan, so probably it will sell 1k-2k on day 1. Lol..

I would have thought gadgets like kinect would sell really well in Japan... I expect that to move units alone.

Minimum 300k. Maximum 500k. Xbox One is going to flop hard. The original Xbox only sold a little over 500k in Japan lifetime.

The real question is why does anyone care? Japan is becoming less relevant in the console market anyway.... game wise ofcourse. if nintendo continues to fail, there won't be a whole del of good Japanese console games anymore.
