Less than 24 hours left! Time to start predicting some numbers!

Alright here goes the day everyone been waiting for ( well for those who understand Japanese that is :( ) the legendary RPG game Final Fantasy XIII will be released in less than 24 hours in Japan exclusivly to the ps3. what are you predictions for its sales?

Here goes i predict ahh 2.5 million copies sold in the first day!.. wish if i could get it but i would rather wait than paying too much for shipments and i wont understand it anyways, waited for over 3 years no harm in waiting a little more till March :P

I do not think it will sell over 2.3 million copies if what is true that Square-Enix (it has not been confirmed) will ship about 1.3 million copies by launch day (one million shipments initially, 150K on launch day).

I dont know i have a feeling this is going to get way more as the holidays are coming soon, its the first current gen final fantasy game and both sony and SE been advertising in Japan like crazy. guess will wait and see.. March cant come any sooner :(

Seeing as it can't sell more then 1 million in the first day your predictions probably won't come true. a million copy in one day in Japan? a ps3 home console game? i mean, Monster Hunter Tri didn't hit the million mark, I don't see how FF13 can. DQ9 did, but mostly because it was on handheld. i dont even think they are going to ship million in first placefunsohng

Square-Enix is shipping only 1 million units on the 1st day. With 300,000 more by the end of the week. So only 1.3 million by the end of the 1st week. I'm not sure if this includes the PS3 bundled with FF13.

I read two months ago that Sony expects to sell Half A Million Ps3s in Japan thanks to FFXIII

I would have to say about 1 million 1st day due to the fact of the high demand and sell out of the FF13 PS3 special system it sold like 500k or more for pre-orders. I think all in all they will have probably a close total to 2.5 million sold by the end of the year. People have to remember FF and GT are like one of the biggest PS titles ever over in Japan and they wait for these games. It's like starving roaches and then pouring a bag of sugar out for them, the light won't even stop them. LOL.

regardless of sales im hyped to hear how the game plays and how the story is. Afterbeing underwhelmed by the story in FFXII, i really want to hear how this games story is.ColdfireTrilogy

It takes a typical FF a couple months to sell 2+ millions. I don't see why this one would be any different.

I,for one,don´t care about how good(or bad)the sales are going to be.

I´m more interested in seeing if the game is good or not.

Assuming no 60 year olds are gamers....and the population is mostly male i say1.7 millionseems like a half decent number for a first week release...as long as those gamer guys are ok with FF's heroin which im sure they are xD having said that im sure a quarter of my estimation includes girls who like Final Fantasy xD
