Whip out those schwanzenstücken, boys! :garfield:

If you don't like Legos:

Got that out the way.

So, Lego games. There's so many of them, it's insane. They sell well. They sell the best on Nintendo platforms, because it's for babies HAHAHA

I love them though. I recently acquired Batman 2: DC Heroes 2.. 2.. And Lego: The Hobbit. Keeping busy with them. I wish they would've waited for the Hobbit trilogy to be complete, much like they did with LOTR. That game was my GOTY of 2012. So good, it makes your balls hurt.

But what about you? You like Lego games? Are you indifferent towards them? Are you older than 8? Share.

I'm a fucking sucker for these games. How? See this list:

LEGO Star Wars I/II (GameCube; the latter I also played and got all achievements on 360)

LEGO Star Wars: Complete Saga (Wii)

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Wii)

LEGO Indiana Jones (Wii)

LEGO Batman (Wii)

LEGO Pirates of the Carribean (Wii)

LEGO Harry Potter 1-4 (Wii)

LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 (360)

LEGO Marvel (360)

LEGO Lord of the Rings (360)

Would be cool if they reboot LEGO Racers. All they need to do is follow what Ninty and Sumo Digital have been doing and add their own twist.

@nintendoboy16: Nice history with the Lego games. Good stuff. I would literally(but not really) kill for another Lego Racers. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts reminded me of how you could build your own karts. So cool.

Btw, do you know which game in the Lego franchise started the whole "open world" thing?

I would think it's LEGO Batman 2.

You might be right. It got a lot of praise for that. It's pretty good so far. Everybody going on about Arkham Knight having you driving around in the batmobile.

You can do it in this one, too. Pft.

@freedomfreak If you ever plan on getting of the older LEGO games, I recommend just getting Complete Saga and Clone Wars if you want to try out the Star Wars ones. The former is pretty much both LSWI and II in one, plus additional content which are two scrapped missions from the first game and being able to play as Indiana Jones, similarly, you can play as Han Solo in the first LEGO Indy game, which I had a blast with in the Last Crusade stages.#

Also, although the customize character is underwhelming (as always), I was able to create a LEGO version of a fan favorite expanded universe Jedi.

I know my store has the Complete Saga. I should get that then. Thanks. Looking forward to it.

Lego games do not make my block hard

More like one of those long lego swords you'd make as a kid, and then it'd snap in half the first time you use it :(

I downloaded Marvel Superheros for my son. I was blown away by the open world portion!

Co-op was fun and there is so many little hidden things to explore and discover.

Would play again.

Loved both LEGO Star Wars games back then. Tons of fun especially with co-op. Though, I've never been a fan of the camera in LEGO games. I also really liked the Harry Potter and LOTR games. Lego City: Undercover was a really good exclusive as well. I haven't bought some recently as I feel they're releasing too many especially last year and early this year. Like three LEGO games in the same time period.

I like actual Legos, especially the Star Wars stuff, but the Lego games are just way too simple and hand-holdy for me to really enjoy. They seem targeted at children or for couch co-op with the kids.

When Lego learns from Minecraft, Disney Infinity, Little Big Planet and Project Spark..... Then, and only then, will I hop on board....

I grew up in the Era when Legos where just legos, no Batman Legos, no Star Wars legos.... Just legos, give me a real Lego game..... FOR MEN ! :p

Some of the games are pretty good, though they're very easy (obviously). I haven't played all that many, but the fun is there, yo.

Not my Legos..... And seriously though, since when does asking for a proper lego game that captures the whole point of legos become a hipster thing ?

Playing Lego Movie on the billbox 360 and Lego Starwars Yoda chronicles 1 and 2 on my Nexus 7 at the mo.

I have always loved Lego, all i did was play with Lego until i got my ZX Spectrum, my Son loves Lego as well, just bought him some minecraft Lego and he loves starwars lego Microfighters.

i would love to get the Lego millenium Falcon but it's a 150+ quid, lego is Really Expensive these days.

The Lego games have a sense of humour that really appeals to me as well.

@Lulu_Lulu: Then go play minecraft. Why does a lego game have to be the same as a box of legos? Dont you think thats redundant?

Also, you must have had some boring ass legos.

Not really because you had Technic lego as well as Normal lego, with technic lego you could build things that actually worked using batteries like Cars, Helicopters (obviously they didn't actually fly) and other things if you put your mind to it.

And although bog standard Lego didn't have themes as such there where still different Vehicles including space ships and castles and different Lego characters like Knights and spacemen.

i used to use it to build Guns and go and play shootouts in the woods as a kid.

Fun with legos is limited by your imigination..... and the quantity of Legos you have.

Also Minecraft is just too Grindy for me...... Give me Lego Craft ! :) or Lego Infinity, or Lego Block Planet or Project Legos !

Oh yeah that reminds me.... Avalanche Studios actually plans on using Disney Infinity as a Platform for other studios to come up with their own content, Ninja Theory is already on board and already made one game for it..... Perhaps this could be an Oppertunity for a Lego Playset !

Who owns the Lego IP anyway ?

well, lego Group owns the intellectual property for Lego and they usually commission other companys to make the games in partnersip with whoever owns the IP for Batman (DC comics) ,Spiderman (Marvel) indiana jones (disney) , lord of the rings (tolkien foundation) and star wars(Disney) so it's complicated anyway because with the Lego games it's always a 3 Party deal.

As Disney has worked with Lego so well before i see no reason Why Disney would be adverse to a Lego set for there Disney infinity games.

And no worries dude, Intellectual Property Law is complicated as Hell.
