I just played a couple of hours of the beta and not only does it not feel anything like the original Kotor(gameplay), but the voice acting is terrible and the quests are just really dull. People who play WoW are gonna have such a deja vu feeling when they play this game. It's not going to score higher than an 8.
You've played it too? Indeed a bounty hunter. They fact there is no auto attack and you get a companion alone makes the gameplay alot different than WoW. The voice acting as well is far from bad. It's very good imo. This coming from someone who has been playing WoW since the 2004 beta.

Just got done with a 7 hour session and had the time of my life. This game is going to do great as it is pure quality in my eyes. Got it preordered and ready to go. LOL @ you thinking an MMO is going to play like a single player RPG. By the way it is TOR, not freaking KOTOR. If you are going to make a thread about it, the least you could do is get the damn name right.

the new wow patch is going to make people stop playing WoW.
progression will stagnate, interest in playing the game will decrease after 4.3 imo, it'll only get worse at this point.

IDK if you are in the beta, but I am pleasently surprised with how everything works. I really didn't see the whole story and the way it is pesented working all that well, but damn it really does.

I'm replaying max panye 2 right now at it looks damn good super maxed out. Much better than the average console game imo.
It's a Star Wars game with addictive content and a lot of marketing behind it. It'll be popular. It won't kill off WoW, but I don't think that was ever the plan - they just need to eat into enough of WoW's revenue to stay afloat. And that's pretty much assured for a while, regardless of the quality of the game.

When Old republic comes out expect me to drop WoW completely. Blizz did alot of things wrong and its really to late to fix it. With Rift, terra online and now old republic..pretty sure Blizz will not recover from this one unless they unleash there new mmo..

Yes, as I said before thier subscriber numbers are falling but just so you know BGs at the lvl cap have an average queue time of under 1 minute. Dungeons queues at the lvl are about 10-15 mins for DPS for the original Cataclysm Heroics or 20-25 mins for the Zandalari Heroics. DPS have the longest wait by far and the queue time for normal modes is probably a lot higher due to most players having no reason to do them. Shattered halls is a low population server which barley has 4 thousand players.
Hope it crashes and burns. At the same time, with the slow death of WoW, maybe the companies will finally see that MMORPGs aren't as popular with the casuals as they used to be, and we will finally get some REAL MMO games, without kiddielol instances and kiddielol battleground-only PvP and stupid factions. With open PvP and PvE, player-run economies and player-run politics, without focus on the lore, but with focus on guild warfare! Down with the casualised, dumbed down, carebear-fests that are MMOs nowadays!
