My son and I went to the store today to pick up lego Star Wars 3. Now opinions are what they are, but lego "anything but star wars" sucks... flat out, its not fun, maybe amusing for a moment or two but not fun throughout... well I think LSW3 may be joining the batmans and harry potters of the world.

Why Travelers Tale, WHY must you be so good about sticking to the faithful set peices and excelent gameplay, the slick cut scenes and clever feel of the lego games and completely botch these puzzles... I cannot tell you how infuriating this game is right now. I dont need my hand held in a video game. Ive been around the block a few times since my atari 2600 days, but for the love of god, if you cant make any connection whatsoever to how a puzzle is solved other than (oops?) moments then please kill yourself...

if you are into trivial puzzle solvers, they are fun, Other than that, they are pretty horrid.

Maybe this is one of those times when the game is for your son and not you... this is the most selfish board on gamespot, not every game is aimed at your age grouping and the fact it has LEGO in the title should be a big clue here.

Did they finally add online in this one? I feel like Traveller's Tales are wasting potential on online co-op and what everthat creating stuff thing they had in the recent games.

I find nearly all of the Lego games fun. It's simple and addictive at times. They're not for everyone though.

Because they are all the same with different themes? I don't understand why they rate them so high; Lego Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones are all the same. And now they are making Pirates of the Carribean??? I couldn't believe that when I saw it.

TheEroica

So you're playing a game designed for children and upset that the puzzles aren't as complex as you want?

Do you also watch Sesame Street and yell "There's too many plot holes!"

I mean really? You're really going to get on a kids game that it's not as sophisticated as you want?

Probably because Lego games are not fun. They're tedious as hell and boring beyond belief.

Nope I think you may have missed my point. My kid and I were flying around on one screen for an hour thinking, "what the hell do we do next?" we had gone in and out of every room and blown up everything like lego games want you to do etc. I was just venting more that clever puzzles are one thing and I do enjoy them, LSW:CS was fantastic in every way, but since then it seems the puzzles are tired and more designed around frustration than actually thinking your way through them. At least thats how I felt in batman, most of Indie and harry potter. To answer the other poster about the game maybe being for my son, yeah, thats why I bought it for him, but we play them together as some bonding gaming time. To hear a kid say, "i think im just gonna drop out" with a gaming controler in his hands when the subject is LEGOS and STAR WARS, speaks volumes. Im merely commeneting on weak game design...

Lego Racers is quite fun. I really enjoyed Lego Battles for the DS as well.
