Just me or does 2014 look pretty barren

Personally Transistor, Super Smash Brothers and Child of Light are the only games I can think of that I'll definitely get this year. I have a moderate amount of interest in Arkham Knight, Destiny and the possible Halo 2 Anniversary.

There are a few games that look solid that don't really interest me that are coming but when I go to the upcoming games section on gamefaqs the list is kinda short and really really pathetic for PS4/XONE

Personally, this is looking to be the weakest year since 2009, even weaker.

We had a fair start though with games like Titanfall, Bravely Default, Ground Zeroes and South Park though. But the rest of the year doesn't look as great.

E3 is in 2 months...

How often are there games announced at e3 that come out that same year and are actually good?

This. March was pretty great, next month is looking great as well, and that's just the first half of the year.

2014 has been a great gaming year for me. Why? Because I've been playing 2013 games for half the price :P

Aliens: Isolation and The Order: 1886 are the only things that have my interest in 2014, unless there's a surprise E3 announcement

Watch_Dogs, Arkham Knight, Dragon Age, Wolfenstein, Destiny, Alien: Isolation. Certainly enough to keep me entertained, not to mention the games we've already gotten our hands on. We also have E3 in a couple months.

Right now I think you may be right however, I'll wait until E3 before I come to a final conclusion myself

Yeah I agree. There are a number for terrific looking games coming... Destiny, Batman, Wolfenstein, Watch_Dogs, a number of exclusives from all the big 3, to name a few.

nothing that is announced at E3 ever comes out within that year.

@vashkey: Quite a bit of last year's Wii U lineup, specifically Mario 3D World.

We are just looking at games, okay....It's not my favorite year so far, but here's a list with Xbone and PS4 games Jan-May. I also have a PC, Wii U, PS360, Wii, 3DS, Vita, PSP, and DS to fall back on just in case though.

Uh no, unless you only buy PS4 and XB1 exclusives 2014 is going to be great

And we already have a potential GOTY (Dark Souls 2)

I'll admit on console it's looking pretty bleak. PC is somewhat better.

I have high hopes for 2015.

Yea this year was extremely weak. I only have SFIVUltra, The Division, and Evolve to look forward to :/

This, I've been saying for a while this is the "gen of the multiplat" and there's nothing wrong with that.

You're not looking hard enough then.

There are more then enough games to keep me busy this year. I'd agree that in terms of exclusives it looks a little weak however.

Halo 5 is all I need...assuming it actually comes out this year and is more in line gameplay wise with Halo Ce,2, and 3

Haha, the "no games" drama is still haunting Xbox, I see.

I'm happy with this year and what's coming, but I can't seem to find my wallet guys, I mean... it's not like wallets can grow legs and run away right?

Wait for E3 then make your decision.

Personally I'm glad 2014 isn't jam packed with great games like 2013 was because I'm drowning in my backlog. I'm getting maybe 6-8 games the remainder of the year and will be perfectly content.

It would be if you're a lemming. Everyone one else is swimming in games.

i know im going to probably have more than 10 games by the end of the year...i dont think its a barren year for gaming
