Well, with FFXV and the new Kingdom Hearts well underway in development, looks like things could be picking up for the PS4 in Japan. GT7 also seems to be on its way as well.

Ha! I wanted to say that the moment I entered the thread but you beat me to it! But weeaboos will make generalizations about the West and say how the Western taste is a lot more uniform. BTW the first three entries couldn't be any more stale, lackluster and irrelevant now.

seeing FF at number one makes me understand why we got 3 sequels to ffxiii. still though it shouldnt be number one

Although, Persona and Tales are not happening on the PS4 for a loooooooooong while.

I laughed out loud at the remark Stevo made myself - I am glad at least *SOMEONE* commented on it. I suppose both Stevo and Salt want Japan to predict future games so everyone on here will try to imagine what the uniquely named game with 1 vote is like, or wonder if the 5 people who made up the same name imagined the same game.

Surprised GTA is so high and yes we need a new siren.

I'd like to see next gen iterations of many of those series, too. Maybe a PS4 will be a good investment if the majority of these are put onto the platform.

Is MGS3 the same thing as MGS4? Is FF13 the same thing as FF12?Is Tales of Vesperia the same thing as Tales of Graces? Nope. Did you even read the list? Theres a lot of different kinds of games on there

Looking at the sales figures for some of these games it's obvious this is a far shot from being representational of the actual gaming audience in Japan.

No difference with Western gamers wanting more FPS and Sequels.

The only difference between us and them, is that they want the same old thing. We ask for newer thing, but we don't end up supporting the newer product, we end up supporting the same old thing.

interesting to see Siren on the list, is there another game being made? I liked the last on on that came out for the PS3, though I didn't like how Sony didn't release a tangible copy in North America and had it as a download only kind of game. The first game for the PS2 is kind of hard to get a handle on and I was disappointed they didn't even bother releasing the PS2 sequel in North America. But I like the series, would love another game.

Sad nobody wants Bayonetta or Vanquished. I'd also love to see another Fatal Frame game, though I don't think the Japanese care for it, the last game only sold 70K copies in Japan, and the Wii remake of Crimson Butterfly only sold 10K, very sad. Surprised to see Elder Scrolls on that list.

Franchises, not games. Franchises that are less than a decade old would be a start, or franchises with less than five games. ;)
