My friends. Today I played "The Witcher". And, yet again, a dwarf with a beard with Scottish accent. I dono where this came from, arguably Gimli in Lord Of The Rings but isn't it bordering on racist for the vast majority of games to make dwarfs with a Scottish accent?

Is it hypocritical that the industry gets up in arms over Resident Evil 5 but wholly ignores this which, is actually much worse because it's widely used in video games.

Yes. It's very racist. How dare they!

Doesn't the Orks in Warhammer 40k talk with a cockney accent? It's obviously racist and someone should alert the WAAAAMBALANCE

Implying people care about Scotland.

Ever since Mel Gibson made that racist movie that the SNP got right behind Americans and other countries have fell in love with Scotland.

Doesn't bother me. Then again nothing really does.

I'm of Scottish descent and I find it pretty funny. Doesn't bother me in the least.

There's nothing wrong with racism. Dwarves are a very proud, and prestigious people. If they believe that the dwarf is the superior race...who are we to judge?

I actually find it flattering that our small country is recognised, world wide, enough to be type cast. Besides it's better than usual drunken tramp.

Unlike most other nationalities we can and do laugh at ourselves.

@clyde46 you'll be amazed at how many people care about Scotland, I've been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively and everywhere I have ever been, I've been welcomed because I am Scottish

Personally, I really liked Robert Carlyle in Castlevania. The character is boring but his Scottish voice sounds exactly like a pure of hart hero. Way better than Geral of Rivia being America for no reason other than, because.
