What do you think system wars.
I'm seriously thinking it's a yes, that's for sure.
The environments look good in that video the car looks so so. I played it round a friends house though and I wasn't that impressed overall. Looked OK but definitely didn't blow my mind. Did have fun playing it but was my first time using a full driving seat outside of the arcades so probably skewed my opinion somewhat.
Still thinking about buying this but although it looks good every movie/picture I have seen looks the same so are there any suburban/city tracks or maybe a real circuit as all I see is this scenic but dull mountain range track, also I hear some people complain it´s not that fluid in the frame rate ?
At least until Forza Motorsport 6 is released
Getting your hopes up that Forza 6 will look better will only lead to disappointment. I would just be happy with the high likelihood that Forza 6 will demolish DC as an entire package.

I would take any Forza game over Driveclub. It will be the better game in EVERY conceivable way... except for graphics, so yeah, don't get your hopes up.

I don't think Forza will beat it,...
Had a lot of potential and they even said 60fps per second was coming. Had an extra year in development, released the game without weather at 30fps. Bit of shambles if you ask me.
They say they were shooting for 60FPS.
Even without weather ran circles around both Forza game graphically, after the patch is simple a damn beauty such a shame that the game came broken like hell.

We'll see, I truly think it will. It will use DX12, which will enhance the CPU usage, and hold back the GPU less. And of course, if you know that FM5 was built with that shitty SDK, and Microsoft will help Turn10 with their best engineers, we might see some really cool stuff. Unless the developer behind DC, already maxed out the PS4...
It is clear that a lot of work went into the lighting. Seeing games like this reiterate myself being letdown by Nintendos choice for weak wiiu hardware--a new Wave Race or even Fzero in a more "sim" form.

The CPU is not in charge of the graphics on xbox one is the GPU which we know is weaker, what the CPU is in charge of is draw calls which will probably help Forza more with its frame rate which was never a problem to begin with.
Forza 4 didn't beat GT6 in that regard it had more solid frames, but graphic wise GT6 was better.
GT6 is 1440x1080p something Forza 4 was it was 720p,it had weather and day to night changes which Turn 10 stated was let out because of frame rate been king.
What polyphony got out of the PS3 Turn 10 was never able to get it out of the xbox 360.
A max out game on PS4 >>>>>>>>> a max out game on xbox one.
More resources stronger GPU = PS4 win and sony games are not hold back by other platforms.

You should bold the whole sentence... CPU can hold back GPU, as the CPU is doing on the PS4... Which has been stated by Sony themselves. Thus better resource allocation, and multi-tasking will result in better GPU performance. CPU and GPU work together, having the best GPU and shitty CPU, won't do any game good. You want a balanced system.

Doubt it. Even with Turn 10 not rushing out to hit launch, they're still going for 60FPS. That alone is enough to not make it look as good and detailed as Driveclub.
It is beautiful in the majority of the shots. Some look kinda funky. Also you cant judge by the games screen shot mode since it adds a post process to pretty things up.

A year later and not 60fps of course its going to look better. But that's the only thing it had going for it. Forza won in every other department. You know this so why bother.
Oh because you cant bare to be wrong on anything.

Yeah Forza was such a win 79 score on meta vs 71 score yeah that is a huge victory specially on a series which use to be 90+ vs an unproven series..lol
But this thread is about graphics so who the fu** care about which was better oh yeah you the spinning dolphin...lol
It's very good but not the best, besides its each to their own opinion some will say yeah its the best and be genuine about. lots of racing games look very good each to their own.
I remember playing one of the dirt games on pc (maxed out) looked amazing!
Does look very nice in parts. Not sure about the snow... it looks awful imo. Sure the lights "highlighting" the new snow may be realistic... however aesthetically it doesn't look good to me. Looks to much like a random plane of snow in front of the car.

Are you really that stupid
First line - Talks about scores in meta
Second line - this thread is about graphics so anything else is just spin
Talk about self ownage
Plus I gave a valid reason to why the graphics are better.
Dont know if it is best looking racing game but it sure look pretty damn good and consider hermits not post any other game to counter it may be true
Not sure if serious.
It's a closed track racing game at 30fps. It only has to load and render what lies inside your fov, which is primaraly on the track.
Up close, the car models are amazing since they remain on the track at all times. Now here's what the game looks like when you step "outside" abit to look
But hey, i guess i need to show you a pc game to counter your point then.
So here's Star Citizen Alpha model of the M50 Origin:
Here's Star Citizens pre-alpha of one of the planetary environments
And here's Star Citizen's placeholder character models without the scanning tech or animations put into it
Keep trying

more like informed person making fun of clueless delusional lem, the cpu enhancements of directx12 are directed at pcs, the consoles already have low level access to hardware, carry on with the ignorant posts.

Sure, whatever makes you sleep at night. Numerous dev's have said: It will enhance the multi-tasking of the CPU, Microsoft themselves have said this. But sure, it isn't an improvement ;)

Read topic title again..."Is DriveClub the best looking racing game on the planet?"
Yes this is about RACING games not "hangar simulators"
Step up man, keep trying
Yes, I've yet to see anything come close honestly.
It's a shame though, that I have such little interest in the genre. /Shrug

FM 6 will not beat drive club graphically. FM 6 is going to be 60 FPS and with the weaker GPU in the Xbox it just will not look as good.

There are no city tracks yet but they might come down the line. The frame rate is perfect, even with the weather patch. I have not once noticed any slow down at all.
@aroxx_ab: You didn't specify the genre yourself. And the issue is that pc isn't owned by a company that pays millions for a game with shiny graphics to move their product.
However, my post was more about showing you how stupid your comment was in trying to challenge PC. Any racing gamethat was made with millions has a pc exclusive to push graphical fidelity would beat Driveclub without trying. The fact that SC's ship modules exceed DC cars while mainting fidelity across the board is proof of this
Has for hangar simulator, here's a video of the game in a racing environment:

The Xbox One is already running to the metal and it isn’t likely we will see many performance gains in this console’s lifetime, contrary to popular belief."

Secret sauce denied, keep spreading that ignorance.

Wow nice copy/pasting to make it look better for you. His exact quote was:
On the DX12 question, I was asked early on by people if DX12 is gonna dramatically change the graphics capabilities of Xbox One and I said it wouldn’t. I’m not trying to rain on anybody’s parade, but the CPU, GPU and memory that are on Xbox One don’t change when you go to DX12. DX12 makes it easier to do some of the things that Xbox One’s good at, which will be nice and you’ll see improvement in games that use DX12, but people ask me if it’s gonna be dramatic and I think I answered no at the time and I’ll say the same thing.
We'll see improvements in games that use DX12. Thank you Phil Spencer.
