Source: Siliconera (excerpt from GoNintendo)

- Online mode known as "Tag Climax"

- Can play with friends, be matched up with random players or vs a CPU

- Various stages where you can do things such as fight a boss or horde of enemies

- Stages are represented as "Verse Cards" and you can select which one you play at the start of the match

- You can select the difficulty of the stage in exchange for extra halos, but may earn larger rewards

- Can beat halos against your opponent in online quick matches

- you can select your character and equipment at the start of the match

---

Honestly, it doesn't sound good to me at all.

What's wrong with it? Sounds like a typical online mode.

I didn't even know Bayonetta 2 was going to have online coop...

Nice to have it guess, though I don't know if I'll bother with it.

Instant access to bosses sounds awesome. They also did something similar with MG: R on PC.

PG does bosses insanely well, so being able to just jump in and go at them is great.

Sounds like multiplayer for the sake of having multiplayer. If they don't add changes to gameplay to actually add value for multiplayer sessions, this won't be worth anyones time. (imo) Doubling health of bosses for two players and the like is the stuff I'm expecting, which is not impressive. Still big hype for this game though, it's going to be amazing.

Yeah, doesn't sound good, but hopefully the single player game is every bit as good as the first.

I wish developers wouldn't half-ass online just to say it has online, that can cause it to take a hit critically and critical reception can turn people off what otherwise might be an awesome single player game. I'd rather critics complain it has no online than to bitch about the online sucking.

Straight up campaign co-op doesn't interest me either because if witch time was big in the original game (that slow motion effect that comes when dodging attacks) then how is that supposed to work in co-op. Plus, I loved Bayonetta but nobody else I knew bothered to play it except a couple friends I recommended it to, one loved it and the other only so-so liked it. But that wouldn't nearly matter as nobody else I know owns a Wii U.

I got first bayo, didn't finish it and yes, I got MK8, its a fun game although they didn't change much and it still pisses me off getting 3-4 items hitting me in 1st place.

Sound so good. I've been wanting more PG multiplayer since Anarchy Reigns.

Pretty much. I don't see this game getting 9's with critics for that reason.
