IGN: Top 25 Wii U Games of All Time

A bit early for an All-Time list, don'tcha think?

Strange that Nintendoland appeared twice on the list.

Tropical Freeze definitely deserves more than 16th. Wonderful 101 should be higher as well.

As much as I like MK8, would probably not put it as number 1 (3D World or Shovel Knight would be more deserving of that IMO)

I personally like New Super Mario Bros U / Luigi U more than 3D World, just my preference though I won't argue it, but I will argue the Luigi games is more like DLC that a new game, even if it is like double the game with new difficulty and gameplay approach, still feels like an add-on than a proper new game.

I would agree though with Mario Kart 8 being in first place on the list, it really is the most addictive of all the games yet released. The online gameplay works great and gives it tons of replay value.

Wind Waker HD was good, first time I played it was on the Wii U, but it wasn't all I was hoping it'd be.

I personally put Pikmin 3 as my current second favorite retail Wii U game so far.

Anyhow, having a top 25 and seeing what's up on that list just makes me feel like they're grasping at straws with what they included. Surely waiting a bit until games Bayonetta, Captain Toad, Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros, that'll make such a list look nicer. Not to mention games on the horizon like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Fatal Frame, Zelda U, Star Fox, fingers crossed there's a Metroid game down the line.

Jesus the WiiU has an atrocious library.

It's got a pretty great library with at least three great exclusives. That's very good for a console released in 2012, and it's going to get two more great games later this year.

If you consider right now which current-gen console is worth buying based on exclusives, the Wii U is the obvious choice.

meh. The list will be completely different when the generation is over. I fully expect Captain Toad to be on the list. Along with Bayo 2.

I own the system mate, and yeah I dig a few of its games (DK, Mario World, mostly W101) and am thoroughly excited for Bayonetta 2, but the overall library is pathetic. It's the equivalent of a sports team that is dependent on top level talent, with no depth in terms of its roster.

"All time" implies passage of a considerable amount of time, so are they implying Wii U is now that old? or worse, dead?

I feel like any Wii U list with more than 10 entries that doesn't have Nintendoland should be dismissed. Have you played it with a group of friends? It's party magic that uses the console's features better than most.
