On the whole, I agree with the list (though some placements are baffling- Bayonetta 2 and Tropical Freeze are definitely both too low). I especially agree with their ranking for #1, and it serves as further vindication that Mario Kart 8 really is the best game available on the console with the best exclusives currently available on it.

Garbage list. IGN fails to realize the magnificence that is Captain Toad.

Shovel Knight, Bayonetta 2, and DK Tropical freeze should have been top 3 easily.

Wonderful 101 and Super Mario 3D World should have been 4th and 5th.

Kart 8 is easily better than 3D World (and Smash U, but you didn't list it, so w/e)

Tropical Freeze is being disrespected.

also, didn't know the Wiiu had 25 worthwhile games.....

Wii U has some pretty damn amazing games, but actually, you're right, I don't know if it has 25 of them...

As for me, it's still Smash. Wind Waker stinks, 3D World is alright, Legends and City are both great but better elsewhere and still not Smash tier.

Interesting placement for a couple of them. I am a firm believer that the top 3 deserve those spots for now; so many memorable times with those games in big groups already. NES Remix being above a few of them is odd to me, but I didn't play it so I guess I don't know what to expect. Still really need to try Pikmin and get Captain Toad and Hyrule Warriors.

Why do you believe a better can be proven? Maybe I should ask Do you really? Like to the extant that if he feels differently its wrong.

Bayonetta 2 easily for number 1 for me. Shovel Knight better than Bayonetta 2 and NES remix that high 3 whole positions above the amazing Rayman Legends ... This list is kinda messed up for me but good list nevertheless. Some great games in there.

Bayonetta 2 is by far the best game on the console, and tropical freeze shouldn't be that low.

Wonderful 101 may be flawed but it's better than most of those games.

Anyways I like MK8 but I think some people rate that game too high.

Still need to finish Bayonetta 2 (I did beat the first one) and W101.

Still need to buy Mario 3D World, DK TF, and Rayman Legends.

I haven't touched Pikmin 3 yet.

Why isn't Captain Toad number 1? I'd be upset if this wasn't corrupt IGN at its finest. Here is my top 5.

Even objectively, I firmly believe Kart is far better than 3D World. If he had been talking about personal enjoyment, I would not have questioned his placement at all.

I don't know man. 3D World just oozes creativity that Nintendo hadn't met since the Galaxy games where honestly I feel like MK7 and MK DS strongly outclass MK8.

We are talking about the Wii U, not the Vita.

I would say the opposite- the track design of Kart is unrestrained and wildly creative (and the best in the series), and that, coupled with its incredible mechanics and handling, make it far and away the best in the series. 3D World is great, certainly, but for instance, it does not live up to Galaxy 2.

Face it Chaz. MK8, while best in the series, it's pretty short on content and luck still plays an important role.

DK at #17 and Mario Kart 8 at #1? Bayonetta 2 at #7?!? I guess as video game journalists they only have time to play a single game relatively passively so the light and simple game that deters skill and helps out those that lack it is enjoyed a bit more. I just can't get behind a game where my success and failure is heavily dependent on random chance. It just makes my input feel irrelevant which is a pretty bad thing for a video game to do. It can be a fun little party diversion here and there, but the game has no legs.

This list could also be named "the 25 games on Wii U. The only 25 games."

I mean, I'm loving the first party titles but that list really puts into prospective how depressing the Wii-U's lineup is on it's own.

Awful list. Doesn't beat ScrewAttack's lists for the N64, GameCube and Wii though in terms of dreadful gaming lists though.

Although the ranking of the titles is debatable, it is nice to see a list of good titles that the Wii U has to offer. It also reminds me that I need to find a copy of Lego City: Undercover.
