IGN: The Top 25 3DS Games of All Time

That is a great list. I especially agree with the top three, although not in that order.

How many of these have you played?

You do realize that list is almost a year old...

Plus it's a pretty shite list for the sole reason of having 3D Land anywhere near the Top 5 let alone in the number 2 spot.

Just goes to show how overrated I think the library and this system is.

List seems like they wanted variety to represent a wide amount of genres, especially in one's containing games they haven't played. Their write ups sound forced and patronizing to each game more than anything.

I've played 17 games on that list.

Number 25 is bad. like really bad.

That should have been a spot for Metal Gear Solid 3, or Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, or Super Street Fighter IV, or Rayman Origins, what about Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium girl? Dead or Alive?

Certainly anything would have been a better pick than Street Pass games.

@charizard1605: Didn't know Shovel Knight was on the 3DS. I still might get it on my PS3 though. I want it on a bigger screen. I started playing Fire Emblem, but I'm not sure if it's Awakening or not. Been playing Mario Golf and I still want Mario Kart 7.

It's pretty good though. except the numbering is way off. New Leaf is the best 3DS game to ever video game on a video game system that plays video games. ALBW? pssshh

Shoot, Virtrue's Last Reward should have made it in the top 25 list.

Kid icarus should be way higher on that list. That game was goty 2012

I don't have a 3DS and don't plan on buying one, but the top three looks like what I'd expect based on sentiments of 3DS owners. But shouldn't Fire Emblem Awakening be 2nd on the list instead of 3D Land? Pretty much everyone agrees it's the best Fire Emblem ever.

And of course, we'll have a new best 3DS game in a month.

@Shinobishyguy: I agree with this statement. Kid Icarus: Uprising proved to me that not all shooters from AAA devs are Pancreas Cancer . And along with STALKER (RIP), restored my faith in the genre. While we still get a lot of irredeemable pieces of trash like Uncharted, Borelands and Gears of War, there is still some hope left for the genre. The fact that the game still enjoys discussions even today in general gaming boards is a testament to its quality.

Far from it actually. There is actually a lot of whining about how it killed the fire emblem franchise by focusing on waifus rather than politics, poor mission design, p2w dlc and the ability to grind.

Link Between Worlds is one of the best games of this generation. Should hold that spot on top with ease throughout this generation.

I've never played a streetpass game but the streetpass feature itself is rather interesting. Sometimes I'll notifications and I'll recognize the person from around the area. It is quite strange.

We can all agree on number 1 though ! Great game

As to the list, it just makes me realize that I have a lot of catching up to do in playing through that awesome library. Definitely agree with the top 2 and their rank, though.

ugh, Fire Emblem Awakening is so overrated... and not like it's bad kind of overrated, it's okay, just not all it's cracked up to be, definitely no #3 material

That is an atrocious list, which makes a lot of sense because the 3DS library is fucking underwhelming.

Definately not. Kid Icarus Uprising is my second favorite 3DS 8th gen non-PC game and wasnt toppled of that honor until 2014, where I played Rune Factory 4.

I'm happy Shovel Knight was in the top 10 though. What a gem of a game.
