IF PC is the master race, why .....

It is a learning disability. They have schools that can treat your condition. Being a console croissant does not automatically mean you cannot improve yourself.

Because it doesn't have too for us too to enjoy a game....

If consoles are the master race... then why:

Doesn't it get AAA games (DoTA 2, League of Legends, Path of Exile, Guild Wars 2, Total War:s Shogun, Starcraft II, Civilization 5) and the likes of Star Citizen coming up.

2. In terms of sales numbers, no console exclusives outside of mario games come close to the sales of games like Diablo/WoW in such a short span, in terms of esport and multiplayer popularity therre are now quite afew games that dwarf console populations of the "mighty cod"... PC Revanue for games just reported as taking over consoles and the gap will only increase.

3. Console Versions come later than PC versions (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Starbound, The Witcher, Crysis).

Also TC you can bring up the same bad points for consoles:

1. Why do you have to pay out of your ass to play online?

2. Why are multiplats always inferior?

3. Why no backwards compatibility?

1. the price of a single game which is reimbursed through deals and full games at no extra charge that would total up to costing more than than amount is paying out the ass? also, it's because the companies need the cash to upgrade servers and maintain their networks.

2. It's only inferior to those with superior hardware. Not only is this not all PC gamers, but many aren't going to be willing to spend the time or money getting a PC capable of these feats or the knowledge to even build one. Also, there's potential for extra content if the console makers pay for it. Besides, you don't buy a system over another for multiplats. You do it for the exclusives, generally.

3. Because emulation is fucking hard to do (find me a pc right now that can emulate ps3 games flawlessly or even at all) and the ONLY other way to do it is through hardware. This would skyrocket system prices to the point to where you really are just better off buying an old system separate if you want those games. Besides, PlayStation Now aims to be a 3rd viable option and we can't jump into hating it yet because we don't know how well it'll work or what the pricing options or models will be yet.

1. On PC I can buy my games cheaper, and can also play online for free without having to pay a single cent on top. On my consoles I had to spend an extra $89 Australian for a 12 month subscription to play online.

2. You make it out to be so hard, obviously you've never PC gamed before. If you can build lego you can build a PC, it's not rocket science my friend.

3. PC still has backwards compatibility, I can play all of my old games back from the 90's If I wanted to, and can still add new next-gen games to my library without losing any of them. Not to mention all those older consoles I have access to through emulators like Xbox, PS1, Gamecube etc.

1. lol console games? Yeah I'm not falling over myself to get console games on my PC. PCs for PC games and consoles, for console games.

2. That's because multiplatform games are console orientated in the first place. It would be a dark day for consoles if they couldn't sell more of their own games.

3. Again console games, of course they come later.

If the PC is so much better why are its games led by the consoles? all of these super powered graphics cards and all you have to play are console led games or simply console ports that have slightly better resolutions or textures, certainly worth the hundreds you pay for the cards....

The only "console-exclusive" GOTY game I've played is Gears of War. It managed to beat out Medieval II Total War for GOTY despite being a very mediocre game. Sadly, Total War games don't have enough cutscenes, and are too difficult for casual console-focused sites like this to give awards to.

It was later released on PC and didn't sell well, despite being "better than any PC game released that year" according to Gamespot.

It also hardly a PC issue. Racing games and fighting games - the main reason to own a console if you can afford a PC - don't get GOTY awards either. Again, lack of cutscenes.

Than why were previous GTA games on PC ?

i play online games very often, and shooters like BF4 play and look like shit on consoles. most of the console big hits are what i like to call story-games; they have mediocre gameplay wrapped in multi-million dollar production package, so that they look good and have flashy cut-scenes and all, but the gameplay is very shallow. as a sandbox and open-world lover, i do like GTAs, though.

there are some occasional console games that i would REALLY like to play, but for example, last gen had only 2 that really got me interested; Demon's Souls and Shadow Complex. i prefer PC more also because of the fact that it's always the first platform to discover new technical grounds of gaming and what modern games can achieve.
