Poll If MS brings a 1st Party game to PC wont it go to X1 too? (11 votes)

Yes, MS 1st party games will end on X1 and X1 games will end on PC. 82%
Maybe they'll keep X1 exclusives separate from PC exclusives and versa vice. 18%

Just a thought. I mean MS bringing a 1st party to the PC without that title going to the Xbox one is like if Sony Japan Studio was to design a PC exclusive that doesn't come to PS4. It just seems like something that won't happen. Or is it just me? Do you guys think it makes sense or that it's possible that MS will make a PC exclusive? If PC 1st party go to X1 and X1 first party go to PC wouldn't you rather want to get a PC and also a PC.

Oh look it's another cow hiding behind Hermits. NOT!

Seems rather odd for MS to claim they are heading back to PC gaming, considering they sold off a lot of their PC studios.

@clyde46: Perhaps they felt that the SteamOS can potentially make a lot people switch over from gaming with windows since they went unchallenged for years but now Valve is putting some effort with their new OS when it comes to playing games. Release games only playable on windows that are enough to convince gamers to stay.

oooh! Nice viewpoint. I actually didn't think of it this way at all. I was just sorta' confused about their sudden "Hey, PC we're in town and we're moving in for the next few years, kthxbye!" announcement.

Its a bit weird that they wouldn't just say that they're coming to the X1 from the get-go.

Microsoft didn't make my PC, so I see no reason to call them first party.

What Microsoft means by 1st party games on Windows are propably ports from Xbox One.

Any game that would work on both platforms is bound to be Xbox-One centric. Heck, even those that don't make any sense (zoo tycoon for example) are still console-lead.

Maybe if Microsoft ressurected Age of Empires and Flight Simulator..those would propably stay PC exclusive. But I don't think MS will invest in any such project if they can't make it on consoles too.

Microsoft needs to sell their new console. They're in the conflict of interests. Therefore they surely won't bring the biggest Xbox 1 titles to Windows, and they surely won't make huge Windows games.

What makes you think they'll bring any first party game over?

You realize they've been saying this on a yearly basis for almost 10 years now right?(We love u PC <3 you getting games from us) And they've done next to nothing over those 10 years?

The most likely scenario is that any X1 exclusive that isn't considered a system seller will eventually be ported to the PC, up to a year later.

Yeah but my main concern is how does this affect the value of the xOne. Doesn't it make it less worth buying?

Why in the world would they want to compete with their own platform?

I expect that "first party" is from MS' point of view, in this case.

No, because the PC version probably wouldn't be announced for quite a while after release
