ID software cant beat doom on nightmare difficulty

Sounds like marketing to me, nothing else. "dis game is so hardcore, that we, the devs, we can't even beat it, guyz. Please buy our hardcore game! its mega hardcore"

No surprise there. I couldn't even beat Doom 3 on Nightmare.

I played Doom multiplayer at PAX East and wasn't impressed at all. Hopefully the single player is a lot better.

I'll probably play on normal or if there is a difficulty between that and the hardest one. I love challenging games but I don't like it when its too hard and you need to reload checkpoints like 10 times to pass them.

That or it's just cheap on Nightmare setting. Like one hit kills, enemies that you can't even get close to, too much HP.

I don't care how hard it is, the multiplayer demo was mehhhhh, and after seeing the single player footage.... It looks so bland and boring. It turned my hype virtually off. I don't know what you all are seeing that's so great. I'll eventually buy it cheap or rent it down the road.

Ill believe it when I see it, but I probably wont unless im forced to.

I've only ever given any serious play to Doom's 2nd hardest difficulty, could never make a good go of Nightmare for more than a level or two.

Didn't ubisoft say that the challenging raid would take 18 hours and most people ere doing it in like 30 mins? Same with the destiny raids.

Tell me about it. So many game companies do this but as soon as those games comes out right away someone will end up beating them on its hardest setting and post them on the internet. This new Doom game will not be any different.

It's really not hard to make a game unbeatable.

In ultra nightmare difficulty there is no checkpoint system. if you die. you just die and back into begining of game. thats the reason why anyone has never beaten this game.

I'm honestly curious how long it's going to be until someone does it, reminds me of Resident Evil knife only no damage runs, I can't even process how people become capable of such things.
