I bet Mass Effect 2 will be announced for Playstation 3 @ E3!

Yes, yes it will. I'm not one to make predictions, but I have a sneaking suspicion that EA and Bioware will bring the franchise to the Playstation 3 for the first time. It'll be a huge win, too. Sure, it won't be as big as the FFXIII announcement was, but it'll be one hell of a catch for Sony, and a loss or Microsoft, because they did publish the first title. So, how many of you think this is very likely to happen, agree or disagree?

I just don't see why, without the port of Mass Effect 1. Although EA do like to make money.

It may go into the realm of timed exclucivity, but streight up simultaneous release... no way. Call me crazy, but I think a lot depends on how well the PC version sells. I also think that though they would never admit it, Bioware doesn't want to port this game.

So, cows would try to make up for FF XIII? I would laugh if MGS4 comes to 360, I know it's not, but if it did, I LOL so hard.

WEll people dont need to play ME1 in order to play ME2. Sure they would be a bit confused but I dont think bioware is making it a mandate that if you didint play ME1 your 360 or PC wont read ME2. Either way I dont see it coming to PS3.

Not denying that, but with the game being built for 360/pc, dragon Age and "the old republic" being developed, Bioware is spreading themselves more thin under EA's manegment these days. I can't see them wanting to spread the resources out just to port the second chapter of a trilogy to the PS3. Either way, its available to every gamer so no one should get their panties in a bunch. right?

I would buy that. I have not played the first so I need them to do a "Ninja Gaiden Sigma" for Mass Effect.

It certainly would be :P There's still the issue of transferring game saves from ME1 though, since PS3 owners wouldn't be able to do that. That's the only thing I see stopping any ME1/2 port.

True, I guess it'd be different person to person. I couldn't play ME2 without playing ME1. Unless they included a sort of recap to the story in 1.

But the White Engine going multi was known far before and ME2 has been reconfirmed multiple times for PC/360 only, so until actually announced, i have to assume there is zero chance to come to PS3

Especially since the first is only on 360, and you can ressume playing with your old saves, that would make PS3 version a lot less appealing

I really doubt it unless they release ME1 for the ps3. The game was announced to be a trilogy and having ps3 owners starting in the middle of the plot with probably a huge recap won't be very appealing. It is like watching LOTR starting from the Two Towers.
