I am noticing lots of blatant Xbox advertising in movies

In Live Free or Die Hard, there is a whole scene dedicated to GeoW. It's logo also appears on several of the monitors that are present in the movie.

In Transformers , there is a man holding the box of an xbox.

I am glad that Microsoft is using movies to market their console; it is a perfect fit due to a plethora of shooter and action games. Hopefully, some fools will fall for this and purchase the xbox.

And BTW, TRANSFORMERS WAS A KICK ASS MOVIE THAT EVERYONE MUST SEE NOW! NO JOKE!

what i have noticed is that the 360 seems to be the new cool in gaming, i mean last generation if there was a tv show or a movie that showed kids or guys playing a game it would be a PS2, now it seems to always be the 360, i think its the more norm now as was the PS2 last gen.

Yes, seeing somebody playing Gears of War in Live Free or Die Hard really undermined the filmaker's attempts to tell a deep, seriuos tale wrought with drama and important social commentary.

Transformers was a decent movie but I'm tired of in-game advertising and product placement in movies.Tiefster
