I'm excited for the game. Darunia is someone I always wanted to play as. Maybe they'll find a way to add Saria or Tingle to the list.

It won't even be the best hack n slash of the year, much less game of the year.

LOL @ doom run of the mill.. genre need proper FPS with fast paced gameplay, no regen health/cover system and not take itself serious like moder military FPS. it need to be badass.

I like your optimism, but it's going to be a tough year. With games like Akiba, Smash, MK8, Bayonetta 2 & GGXrd. It will be tough, but not impossible, and I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

Captain Toad better than Hyrule Warriors? Doubtful. Donkey Kong is great, but not sure if it can compete. Smash, & Bayonetta will be tough to beat like I said.

Metroid Prime is unique, doom isn't. Even if I'm not sold in Metroid as an fps franchise, it's still a superior fps.

@ladyblue: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a platforming masterpiece in every way. It's the epitome of perfection and one of the best games released in the past decade. It deserves huge recognition for its exceptional design, animation, challenge, content, and incredible attention to detail. It should get nominated everywhere, but it will probably get nominated nowhere unfortunately.

Zelda: Waifu Warriors still hasn't really interested me so far, and I'm still waiting for any reason to be. Going to be hard considering Dynasty Warriors gameplay hasn't ever looked appealing to me.

If you think a Warriors game has GotY potential, you're going to be sorely disappointed when the reviews hit.
