How would you rate the last gen compared to others?

If you've played games throughout other gens...how would you rate/compare the last one (360/PS3) to them.

Better?

Worse?

Same?

How much fun did you have, etc?

I personally had the most fun last gen since the SNES days. Games in general have become pretty sophisticated with the graphics being enough...good voice acting....stories are pretty good....there were good new IPs.

I rate it about 9....and the SNES days were a 10.

Sure it was filled with bullshit, but that brought drama, and that shit was glorious last gen.

I enjoyed last gen. Can't really say relative to how much to others, but last-gen gave me Arkham Asylum, City both SMGs (three of my fav all-times now), a plethora of great indies, and the PC games market seems to be in great health thanks to the Gabbster.

I loved last gen aside from a few unwanted developments and EA continuing to pile once great franchises onto the corpse pile as they do, but look to enjoy this gen even more.

i enjoyed it, but i hated the DLC stuff and microtransactions taking a foothold during the last generation

My favorite gen by far.

Lots of great games but what it did to the industry is pretty nasty.

NES, SNES, and Genesis are still gods amongst consoles. ...with select N64 games in their too.

I greatly enjoyed it, mostly due to the rise of cheap digital PC games.

last gen was awesome. i think it was 2nd best gen. only ps2,xbox,gc gen was better imo

Last gen was probably my favorite gen in all of gaming. There were plenty of problems, ranging from a lack of RPGs to poor DLC, microtransactions and tacked-on motion controls, but all-in-all the games were quality and even the poor games were usually playable and decent if you were willing to look past the faults.

Even better than the previous gen. Thank you Wii and Goddipop Chainsaw.

Best gen easily for me(gaming since NES days). You had great series like Mass Effect, Uncharted and fantastic MP like COD and Bad Company

Better than most. I would rate:

Gen 3 - 85%

Gen 4 - 95%

Gen 5 - 90%

Gen 6 - 80%

Gen 7 - 95%

I think it was great and I think the length of last gen helped (late 05 was a long time ago).

However some of the trends that came out from last gen stink.

Not quite as good as gen 6.

Best ever. More quality games than previous generations. More variety.

It was as good as any other. The only thing I didn't like was the rise of the DLC system and how it was managed.

I'd say genre variety took a nosedive on gen 7 consoles as compared to gen 5/6.

DS is my favorite system of all time. So last gen would be my favorite.

I think games get better and better, unlike a lot of other mediums. So every generation is the best one ever... from a certain point of view.

It couldnt have lasted nearly twice as long as previous gens if it was no good.

I had fun with my 360 but I'm enjoying my xbox one even more.
