How to tell which platform the game is best on?

I own both the 360 and PS3 and been trying to figure this out for a while. Do you guys who own both platforms have a way of telling which version of a game to get? I mean the non platform-exclusive games of course. I wanna get Arkham Asylum but I can't really decide which platform to get it on, the price is the same and watching video footage of gameplay doesn't really help, it looks pretty much the same in the youtube video player. Any tips?

Sometimes I download the demo on both systems. If that's not available I just get the 360 version for the points and so I can chat with friends while I play.

And if you don't have friends get the one with the most features, if they don't have different features then buy the one with less lag.

Look at screenshot comparisons like this one. And remember extra content, that's why everyone should get Batman AA on the PS3 and Fallout 3 on the 360, for example.

Also, 360 multiplats are mostly better than PS3 ones, so yeah.

PS3...extra content. No use searching for those extra pixels that most likely don't exist.

For me, it's a certain "feel" that games. While I'm glad so many gamers got to enjoy or are going to enjoy games like GTA4, FF13, DMC4, and Tekken 6, those games just "feel" right on the PS3. Just like how games going multiplat from 360 to PS3 like Bioshock1/2, Dead Rising 2, NG2 just "feel" better on 360. That's my take on it. As for other multiplats, it depends on which system has friends you want to play with more (games like COD and Street Fighter4) or which one has features you like if it's a singleplayer game (games like Batman:AA and Dead Space).

also if a good exlusive comes out the same month as a good 3rd party game then get them both on each system. say this month, get halo 3 odst on 360 batman on ps3. that way either system you turn on you will have a new game to play.
