I mean come on, it is bad enough that most PC gamers will go out of their way to try and make sure they are above console players.

I game on PC, it was a choice i made when i left the armed forces, i had the money to step into it, however, money is becoming a problem for me now, and it is becoming harder for me to upgrade my system, now do not get me wrong, my GPU has lasted through almost 4 years whilst still maxing games out, this is partly due to the stagnation of home consoles.

But when something goes bang, it needs replacing, and warranties do run out.

I am feeling the sting right now, i went from a GTX 480 which cost me 170 pounds, and was extremely reasonable cost back then in 2010, to a 5850 for 50 pounds off ebay, quite embarrassing, but sadly, in todays times, money is becoming harder to maintain.

Yes i am a PC gamer, i will remain one, but for next generation? i am on the fence.

Furthermore, why wouldn't they compare it? They solely produce that component. It also gives consumers a comparison to upcoming/mainstream components. They're appealing to the general market.

The whole bragging bullshit that PC gamers do is just fucking retarded, i work, i have a job, but i can't afford it now, i am struggling to maintain things and go and purchase the next high end GPU.

Not only this, what says it will stop there? my PSU dies? CPU? intel CPU's are not cheap.

PC gaming is expensive. If you can't afford it, buy a console. It really is that simple.

Sometimes you'll see hermits trying to claim you can buy a good gaming PC for like $60, which you can if you know how to build a PC, hunt for good deals on parts, and already have the software or can get it for free.

The bottom line is that you get what you pay for, and if you want the best in gaming, you're looking at well over $1,500. My monitor alone was $1,200 (Dell U3011 @ 25x16 native resolution), my keyboard, mouse and speakers were probably another $400.

Get a better job, or a second one to help you pay for a legit gaming rig and accessories. Or just buy a PS4 in a couple months...

Components die. My memory died out of warranty and had to be replaced. 2 of my 360's died, and were luckily covered by a 3 year warranty (as were most of my PC components).

Now, what is your specific argument? PC gaming is expensive? Thank God, he gave you the IQ to discern that.

It's a pity post. My cousin is in the RAF, and my Grandad was in REMI, attached to a special forces unit in WWII. I couldn't serve due to a debilitating illness. Why do I give a f*ck about your service? It's irrelevant to the topic.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make here. Sure, the top of the line stuff is expensive, but that doesn't mean you need to buy that to game on PC. Nvidia making high-end GPUs doesn't mean that they're going to stop making decent mid-range GPUs anytime soon.

I myself can't afford high end GPUs, but I game on PC regardless. That's the beauty of PC gaming. You can build a machine that fits your requirements instead of a standard level set by some company.

As for "who cares, Nvidia?": Certainly not me. I won't be buying a high end GPU such as a Titan anytime soon, so I don't care. But those who want top of the line performance will care, and they will pay for it. Being pissed off about expensive things being available to those who want them and can pay for them is ridiculous.

No one here said PC is not the best, yet another one proves the point.

Then don't buy the best? Pretty simple, if you can't afford the best, then play on lower settings with worse hardware. At the end of the day, you'll get most of the benefits of PC gaming (such as sales and more options than consoles) just without the pretty graphics and performance.

okay im lost, are you implying we cannot compare mcdonald's to a gourmet restaurant becuase they are far apart in terms of quality? they are still food, and pc is still a gaming system. You pay for what you get, yes it is more expensive but it delivers better experience so whats your point?
