You get sent a code to your email, which I think you then have to use on the Bungie site to complete the registration.

I got mine less than a minute after pre ordering. It could take a few minutes though, you'll get it for sure.

Just preorder it, play the Beta, then if you don't like the game cancel the preorder it.

Suppose you love it, you'll wish you still had the preorder.
