what i spent on my wii u  ($350 -400 is ok  but anything higher - better start taking out a loan against the house guys)  because im not bothering , if sony even thinks of marking ps 4 @ the same 600 dollars they will put that final nail in their coffin , the pawn shop i went to today had 12 vitas sitting in there ! if that isnt a sign of bad then i dont know what is , because sony needs to get their act together

for xbox 720/xbox2014/5  it needs to be 300 to be competitive (entry model 400 for deluxe)    and i will buy , ,

doesnt mean ill pay for xbl ill just play my games online on wiiu until i can get xbl renewed ,  i have some wii u games i want first before i do any of this

and all the fans think wiiu aint got no games

i think they are out of their mind i have half the library and their darn good games except gameparty lol bought it only cause it was cheap ,

still i side stepped ac3 me3 and ng3 for warriors and gameparty today ,   and a snes like pad for u ,

i unlike most people get the most out of my purchase early on ,   then slow down later on .  to prepare for what is next and i know quite a few upcomin wii u games i want including zelda mariokart windwaker hd ,  3dmario game , nfs most wanted-im in need of a racing game besides karting on espn sports connection and sonic allstars  , resident evil revelations ,   and sniper 2 ,

along with the 2 i passed on today, thus gives me a robust library of games  that people seam to claim dont exist,     its called get off your behind and look

that said 300-400 for ps4 300-400 for x3 and no blocking used games,

i still buy snes games today for crying out loud  if they block used games this means my collecting is cut dead short

I'm not buying the PS4 or the Xbox until they've been out for awhile. I can be patient.

I could sit here and type a lie that I have a limit on how much I am wiling to spend but in reality I will probably end up purchasing both on launch day...regardless of price. I'm a sucker for new tech and I am so ready for next-gen hardware.

[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]I will not spend more than $300.LittleMac19

I would be willing to bet a hefty sum of money that neither console will launch at that price point.
#62 Posted by RpgGamer23q (199 posts) -

$350-450 for either one of them, will buy both.

He won't be an early adopter. I will pay up to $400, but only if the games are there at launch.

i would give them one kidney and like... three quarters of my liver... unless there is a sku with built in dialysis in that case i would give both kidneys and the liver and hope the dialysis machine is not removed from the system later.

I'll probably wait until it's $300, $350 if it's kicking ass. For some odd reason I'm leary of being an early adopter of MS's next machine and would like to give them time to iron things out a bit.

Whatever the price is a year after release on black fridayfueled-system

Pretty much this ^^

#68 Posted by OreoMilkshake (12718 posts) -
599 US Dollars.
#69 Posted by KungfuKitten (20748 posts) -

$200 if it is quite powerful.
$350 if the above is true and the games are kept at $60 (+ no significant DLC)
$500 if the above is true and the internet is free

Though this can change depending on my PC purchase.

300$

Thefatness16
Wow you sir will be waiting years for that price. I don't get people who will Waite years to save a $100 bucks $100 is nothing these days and it will get worse, spend it wile money is still worth something I say. When the US bond market crashes it is all game over anyway
#71 Posted by MirkoS77 (6976 posts) -
I never buy consoles at or near launch as they're often filled with unforseen problems such as bugs and hardware issues. There's usually no games worth the price also (Nintendo's the only company I'll even consider buying at launch as I believe they are the only developer whose 1st party titles are good enough to buy their hardware just for one game). If that were also the case with Sony and MS, I'd only spend at most $4-500.
#72 Posted by dommeus (9187 posts) -

I'll wait for price cuts and software.

#73 Posted by theshadowhunter (2956 posts) -

maybe I might buy one mid cycle, or near end cycle when good exclusives that are worth buying are out... I didnt play too many games on my 360 though, because I do most of my gaming if not all of it on my PC...

#74 Posted by ni6htmare01 (885 posts) -

With in $1000 US dollars for PS4. the nextbox?? I think I'm going to pass it

#75 Posted by adamosmaki (9429 posts) -
Nada. Actually might consider either consoles when they drop to $200-250 and that is if they have a great amount of exclusives that are not on pc such as the PS2 had
#76 Posted by xWoW_Rougex (2749 posts) -

I'd probably set my budget to about 2000. As long as the price is actually justified of course, although I very much doubt it would cost that much...

#77 Posted by Grey_Eyed_Elf (3676 posts) -
PS4/720 for £400-500... Wii U not till it's £200.

Whyyyy. I mean, if the hardware is actually strong and the games are good, then it wouldn't be much different than buying a gaming pc yeah? As said, as long as the price is actually justified then I won't mind paying much money for it. So yeah, if they release some super monster console with built-in hairy legs or some other crazy stuff that actually makes the console worth the price it costs then I'd have no problem buying it.

Wait until they announce the prices, we'll talk about it. I'm feeling it'll be irrational if you do not have a grreat PC.

#82 Posted by PAL360 (26627 posts) -

450 euros on the console + two launch games = about 600 euros.

#83 Posted by Heirren (16193 posts) -
If launch games are there I'd say the max is $600, but I think both consoles will be $499.
#84 Posted by EPaul (9906 posts) -

500 US dollars

dweller cows will probably pay 1000bucks for a piece of crap just because it say Playstation on it.
#86 Posted by Zeviander (9503 posts) -
I'm not sure why anyone would spend more than $300 on a piece of non-upgradable hardware. I personally have no interest in neither the YawnStation 4 or the Kinextbox 8.
#87 Posted by tonitorsi (8269 posts) -

$349 to $399

#88 Posted by Master_ShakeXXX (13361 posts) -

I've never paid more than $399 for a console and I probably never will.

#89 Posted by Sushiglutton (5191 posts) -
$10/month sounds reasonable, which is not much when u have a job :). So around $600 assuming it lasts for five years.

Seeing how things are nowadays no more than $360.00

#95 Posted by Boddicker (2379 posts) -

$400 is the max I'll be willing to drop on the PS4 or 720.  Maybe $450 for an "elite" model.

Giving that all sources are pointing toward that price range already I'll probably picking one up early 2014.

this,i will get the consoles if they are around the price or when they get some price drop.
#97 Posted by themajormayor (25667 posts) -

If my economy will allow it by then:

$700 for PS4

$100 for 720 (if there's no live fee)

#98 Posted by stereointegrity (10697 posts) -
max at launch is $450
#99 Posted by Nintendo_Ownes7 (30917 posts) -

I don't like spending more then $400 for consoles. So if they are more then $400 I'm waiting until they drop in price to get one.

#100 Posted by Giancar (19043 posts) -
$400 is my ideal price. I see it as an investment.
