Not enough: I get in a good couple hours a day, thanks to school and adult life

Lately, around an hour or two a day.

Too much, especially when that completionist bug hits. Most recently it was Shadow fall multiplayer, and then borderlands 2 when it became free for plus...I bought all the dlc for it only barely got my siren to level 72. I work for the school district in my area so I mean my schedule hasn't changed much from when I was growing up except now I don't have homework so I have even more time than before. Past all the young adult dating stage as well so yah,...friends and videogames WOOT!

Less than 10 for the most part. Sometimes I go weeks without playing.

#8 Posted by mems_1224 (44753 posts) -

Probably between 30-40 right now

#9 Posted by blamix99 (1330 posts) -

#10 Edited by Netret0120 (1536 posts) -

10-15hours

It varies

I have been playing a solid two hours a day since I got Super Mario 3D World on Tuesday. Usually only about four hours a week during busy season at work and 15 to 20 when it's slow.

#12 Edited by Renegade_Fury (16733 posts) -

Some weeks it's zero. Other weeks, maybe like four to six hours tops.

#13 Edited by Mesomorphin (404 posts) -

Some days, maybe only an hour, others can go to up to 10 easily

#14 Posted by treedoor (7478 posts) -

Steam says I have 26.5 hours of game time logged in the last two weeks.

#15 Posted by marcheegsr (2204 posts) -

During the winter I game more. I would say 20 hours a week.

During spring and summer I probably only play 5 hours a week.

#16 Posted by kitty (113965 posts) -

Maybe 10 to 20 hours. That's what steam usually says.

But lately I've gotten addicted to disgaea 4 again, so that could be like 30 - 40. I get lost when playing it, it seems :P

#17 Posted by Nengo_Flow (8783 posts) -

used to be like 25-30 hours a week

Now, like 6 hours a month (if not 0 a month).

I had GTA5 pre-order... had to cancel it cuz I knew I would have time for it. Still havent gotten the game.

Had more than enough $$$ to buy a PS4 at launch, didnt get it cuz I knew I wasnt going to make love to it like it deserves.

zero

#20 Posted by hamster3_3 (130 posts) -

Come march it'll be back to 30 to 40 a week untill south park and dark souls achievements are completed then I might buy titanfall. the last couple of weeks havn't been that much due to going for the 400 career golds on forza. Playing against drivatars is nowhere near as fun as online.

Depends on many factors.

During this time of the year there is shit-all games really, only a few new ones worthwhile. Also depends if I'm working and other stuff.

On average about 2 hours a day, give or take. If a new game comes out that I'm really into, I'll play much more, like when GTA V was released I played about 9 hours a day for about 5 days.

Also if I'm replaying a game I hadn't played in a while, like if I replay New Vegas, I could easily go 5 hours a day.

Forgot to mention that when it's so damn hot in summer I game the least (hate Australian heat) but come march, ill be back in business.

Yeah, it's been about like this for years now. Occasionally it'll spike when a big release I'm into comes out, but even then it's no more than 20 hrs for 1 week and then back to normal.

I used to miss gaming 30+ hrs a week, but honestly I wouldn't even want to do that any more. Games just don't hold my attention the way they used to.

#23 Edited by Trail_Mix (2021 posts) -

None.

Barely game nowadays. So much so it's not even worth mentioning.

Of course, it's always prone to change whenever something new I'm interested in comes out.

10-30 in general and depending on what else is going on.

#25 Edited by Lulu_Lulu (4618 posts) -

I don't know. I game when I feel like it, and my feelings are in an inconsistant state of flux.

#26 Posted by gameofthering (9639 posts) -

1-3 hours per week.

#27 Posted by betamaxx83 (335 posts) -

I play the most in winter (10-15 hours a week), drops by spring, usually by summer I play maybe an average of 5-6 hours a week).

#28 Posted by Floppy_Jim (25059 posts) -

10-15. I can't really be assed to play consoles in the week. Lately an hour or 2 on handhelds on weekdays (or nothing at all), a few hours on GTA5/Dragon's Dogma on Fridays/weekends.

Not enough. Having to take care of a child on my days off makes it impossible for me to play as much as I would like. Thankfully my daughter will be starting school in Aug this year, So I'll get at least 5-6hrs a day on my days off to play. On average I play about 7-8hrs a week if I'm lucky. Get to play my handhelds at work at lunch and on break.

#30 Posted by clr84651 (4815 posts) -

about 7-15 hours per week.

Yeah? What are you currently playing on your handhelds?

#32 Edited by ShepardCommandr (1530 posts) -

A lot.

All i do is sit on my ass play video games and watch tv shows all day every day

#33 Edited by _Matt_ (8342 posts) -

Currently about 10 hours a week or so. Should not play this much though with the amount of work I need to do.

#34 Posted by AmazonTreeBoa (15952 posts) -

Varies greatly. Sometimes none at all. Other times 6+ hours a day.

#35 Posted by Salt_The_Fries (7411 posts) -

It varies wildly, but usually around 25-30 hours.

#36 Posted by AdobeArtist (22392 posts) -

For me it depends on my work and social schedule, so I have no real consistency from one week to the next. On some weeks I barely squeeze in 4 hrs, on others I can get that 20-25 hrs game time, and what ever falls in between.

#37 Posted by BlessedChill (676 posts) -

On average about 4-5 hours a week.

In summer, maybe like 1 or 2 hours a week.

Yeah I put more time in during the winter too. Summer time means I am outside doing more entertaining things.

#39 Edited by PAL360 (26311 posts) -

Maybe 10 or 12 hours. It depends

#40 Posted by Joedgabe (4987 posts) -

Depends if i have something i wanna play... when i'm really into a game it's probably about 20 - 30 a week. Normally about 5 - 8 a week.

#41 Posted by PrincessGomez92 (2568 posts) -

Probably 20 - 30 hours a week.

Yeah? What are you currently playing on your handhelds?

PSVita - Soul Sacrifice, Gravity Rush, Hot Shots Golf Invitational, Urban Trials, Sonic Racing Transformed

3DS - Zelda Four Sword (which I downloaded for FREE last night - http://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendo-giving-away-free-legend-of-zelda-four-swords-for-the-next-4-days/1100-6417437/

Mario & Luigi Browser's Inside Story, Luigi's Mansion 2, waiting for Bravely Default to be released.

Damn!! You have that much free time? My nephew plays about 30-36hrs a week, but he's in high school and that's all he does on the weekends mostly. Rarely ever seem him outside playing, which is sad.

Still, that's almost 2 full days of gaming considering you sleep 8hrs a day.

Niiice, Soul Sacrifice is brilliant.

168 hours in the week, subtract 56 hours of sleep, subtract approx 45 hours for work, equals 67 hours left of spare time for cleaning, cooking, drinking, gaming, whatever.

#45 Posted by with_teeth26 (5844 posts) -

typically 10-15 hours a week, lately more like 20-25 since I just finished my undergrad degree and haven't found a job yet.
