Still, Clownzone looks pretty good, so i'm sure Horizon will look great aswell. But it is an open world game, so limitations sink in anyway.

I don't expect a massive dg alla DS2, TW3, WD, UC4, etc

Reveals always look prettier than the actual game, this is especially true recently.

Yeah I know, that's how insane the visuals look. GG's games tend to do this to people tho.

Its really not fail, we've scene more pre alpha footage that looks better than release. More often than not These things need to get optimized out to make it perform well in hectic situations.

Even if it was being played on actual Console, it doesn't mean much. I'm not saying that the game will definitely be downgraded but demos shown on stage are vertical slices,,, scripted events in limited area to show best parts of the game in short time. When it comes to running actual game inside much bigger environments then the story is different.

When the game comes out in a year or 2 it most likey will be downgraded alittle....but i cant wait it looked good and fun

@Cloud_imperium: very true, w3 done that. It was in an area that was finished and polished, everything outside that area wasn't. More they polished the whole picture, the lesser that demo area becomes.

This is the studio that made killzone and shadow fall was beyond good looking, simply cannot wait this is by far the best new IP announced at E3!

Especially when you target a platform that is not upgradable... So, you are forced to cut corners. Optimization is real but like everything else, it has its limitations too. Then after that you have to make hard choices to run the game on a closed platform.

it won't be downgraded much, though (you'd imagine the uproar). still, it's the gameplay that's important, and i hope horizon fulfills that just like forza horizon 2.

I said it in the Horizon thread that i thought it must be pre-rendered or something. I'm guessing we'll see the AA get reeled in a bit at least.

Nah it will look like that. If you download the uncompressed Gamersyde vid, it clearly has tons of jaggies. In fact, about as much jaggies as Killzone Shadowfall if anyone remembers how jaggy that was. This indicates it could be running on PS4 with that same crappy AA and not downsampling. And it's simply not as detailed as Shadow Fall anyway it seems close up, that's because it's open world. But still, I expect it to be one of the best looking open world games at release.

duh......the only people fooled by gg these days are sony fan.

Of course it won't look as good as the reveal trailer. It can't knowing what the PS4 has under the hood. It will be 30fps, have jaggies, blurry and popping textures etc. That doesn't change my opinion that Horizon was game of show. It looks fresh and fun and is a big win for Sony.

Was The Witcher 3 even confirmed to be downgraded? It looks pretty darn stunning as is. Downgraded compared to what? And Uncharted 4 was downgraded? It looked freaking insane on monday. The supposed character model downgrade seems to be debunked from that demo, as even Sully (an NPC in game) looks better than Drake did at E3 2014.

Also check out the Gamersyde video of horizon. It has the same AA as Shadow Fall on PS4. Jaggies everywhere.
