High profile exclusives Sony v Microsoft

Hello warriors,

I've been looking at the metacritic for all these high profile exclusives and have noticed Microsoft exclusives being vastly inferior to that of Sony. Basically all of these scores are taken from metacritic. Why is Microsoft so inferior this generation?

What a fresh and new argument for SW, it's like I haven't heard that 100 times already :)

It all just bias and favouritism. Sony pay for those review scores!

TC is on point to leave Driveclub and Forza out of this.

I own both consoles and if I had to choose one Id be unable to choose.

I love playing halo and gears but I also love uncharted and hzd and many other games from both consoles :p

I was trying to be generous, as an owner of all 3 platforms, there really isnt any exclusives other than halo

Does that mean the reviews for Gears of War 1,2,3 Halo 1,2,3,4 were all paid for? How do you account for the user average then?

According to @boycie Microsoft paid for these scores LOL. Ok but thats one compared to Sony's library of quality exclusives. The weighted average score is 8.11 lower than any of that from Sony.

You're forgetting the Might XoneX 50% game boost.

It applies to everything including meta critic scores.

Metacritic user scores on high profile games are pretty worthless

MS exclusives seem to get over-scrutinized while Sony's are good but oversold critically.

Glad someone made a list, but please don't be biased... Forza Horizon 3 should be added for sure. And some of the others mentioned. Edit it and you'll have a factual list. Then again, gamespot or as some people call it, Sonyspot, and metacritic are owned by the same company(CBS). Not that I think it has anything to do with anything since those are 100's of random reviewers and not just one.

@boycie: Man, Sony must be loaded to afford all these exclusives, pay reviewers for good scores, pay award shows, etc. Where is all that money MS has??

The users scores say everything about each fanbase, Sony Fanboys are known for leaving bad user scores on metacritic under Xbox exclusives they even do it on Amazon

They also go onto online retailers and rate consoles like Xbox One S and soon the Xbox One X with bad user reviews

The reason why your thread sucks isn't because you have the opinion that MS is lacking in high profile exclusives next to Sony, it sucks because you have to selectively post a fanboy list that omits high profile game/s that account for the great games that X1 does have.

Uncharted, GT, LOU. Sony doesn't rely so much on big hits but on variety but it pays them well.
