Glad to see Yoshida is enjoying the Switch, too. Between him being highly appreciative of the Switch, and Spencer's praise for it, it is clear that Nintendo's newest system has caught the eye of the rest of the hardware makers in the industry, too.

Plus, of course, Hideo Kojima believes that the Switch is 'a gamer's dream.'

Pay attention to this system, guys- it may be about to truly switch (heh) some paradigms.

I do not see the appeal. It's just an advanced portable console.

For people who game on televisions, it's trash.

Just another Nintendo gimmick machine to me.

Figures Shu would be attracted to a game where you milk cows.

Always cool to see competing gaming companies checking eachothers works and products out. It's always kind of funny to see that most of the system wars crap is mostly between the gamers themselves and not the actual companies.

So just like every other Nintendo console people will pretend to care at launch and as soon as the droughts start it will fade into irrelevancy.

LOL. Brilliant.

Anyways, it's true there seems to be a certain magic around the Switch. March 3rd is just around the corner.

Yoshida is a huge Nintendo fan. He bought two Wii Us and plays with his family. Not saying that undermines anything, glad the executives aren't part of the "system wars" dogma.

You see Shuhei Yoshida appreciating Nintendo's products (he did the same with the WiiU) in public because Nintendo is unable to compete with Sony. IF the Switch becomes their competition, you won't see him praise the thing anymore. Right now its just fun n games yo. The war has not began.

Any hype I had for the Switch has now totally diminished (at least for the time being) since Virtual Console won't be available at launch. Lame.

Give it time. Eventually this will be the general consensus.

Knowing Nintendo they'll start by dripping NES games (starting from Super Mario) and well get to Gamecube by 2019 maybe. Yeah don't keep your hopes up, but at least we'll have Zelda at launch :P

Yoshida is probably the one that bought more Wii Us in the world, so of course he is going to be with the Switch day 1.
