Have gamers become jaded?

Last year alone there were games like Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age Inquisition, Far Cry 4, Titanfall, Velocity 2x, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Watch Dogs, OlliOlli, Alien Isolation, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Bayonetta 2, Forza Horizon 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, Sunset Overdrive, The Evil Within, Shovel Knight, Mario Kart 8, and more.

I don't know about you, I've been enjoying this gen so far. Plenty of great games to be played. And things are getting even better this year. Are you excited, SW?

Yeah, but for different reasons. Last year wasn't a great year for many folks who aren't fans of CRPGs or massively overhyped Ubisoft turds.

Do I think a lot of gamers are jaded and entitled? For sure. Do I think being critical is wrong? Nope.

I'm like super excited. This is going to be a great year for gamers. Jaded? Hell no.

While I agree with what you said, I'd also like to point out that some people behave as if they were not only jaded but MALCONTENT, and act as if they had a PhD in game design.

The problem is many gamers today have been spoiled by the PS3/360 it's been near 10 years since they came out, so for many when they got into gaming, it all seemed easy because we had games coming out left right and center just 5 years ago, and probably haven't seen any transition from old to new, which is making them frustrated because when they joined the gaming world the gen was in full swing, you'll notice that anyone complaining about the lack of games and why hasn't there been any amazing wow factor games yet, is because they have never experienced a launch before.

The facts are in front of everyone, this gen has had the biggest influx of games coming out than ever before, the problem is some gamers can't grasp that it takes alot of time to make a video game now, it's not months it's years, and the problem is alot of them didn't get dev kits until a few months before the consoles launched, and many had games coming out for PS3/360, like GTA 5 would of more than likely of been a launch title if they had more warning it was a very strange cross over, I've never seen in all my console launches that at least 4 triple A games launched a month or 2 before a major next gen console launch.

People naturally lean towards a negative viewpoint.

Well only a handful of those required new hardware to exist, so maybe we can see through that...

I have enjoyed some games, but I am looking forward to the future being better for me that's for sure. Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Shadow of Mordor, FH2, Infamous SS were fun but Witcher 3, Arkham, Bloodborne, Halo 5, QB, Uncharted 4 have me hoping for better.

I was hype for the PS4 I was gonna buy this year with Uncharted 4, Persona 5, Bloodborne, Batman, The Witcher 3, MGSV, etc. all at the same time but that hype was delayed to spring of next year. So, I'll most likely play MGSV on PC even though I did not want to and Persona 5 on PS3. For the others I can wait.

NO.. I think last gem's extended time made gamers forget about "Launch/Launch Window Games".. ie.. they're mostly always a bit terrible.
