I can't remember the last time I needed split-screen... I think it was the original Halo.

I only do it when everyone agrees on it. Otherwise I don't. I think screen looking adds a bit of fun to the game honestly.

@clyde46: I don't know why you would take local multiplayer that seriously. It's just supposed to be for fun, not really competitive.

Anyways the only solution that I liked for this was using a 3D tv with each player looking at the whole screen.

Dude, screen looking is the number one thing you don't do. Hell, between me and my friends, screen looking was dealt with a swift punch to the arm.

How much is a vita now? Interesting concept but you would have to spend another $160-200 on a vita to do it.. and then convince your buddy to take the , what, 5 inch screen? lol

I'll take a 4in screen over having someone screen peak me. For racing games i don't care either way but screen peaking sucks for Vs. action games. As long as we have the both options there isn't anything wrong with this. I always chuckle when people get sarcastic over options.

I'd rather play splitscreen for most games to be honest. Never found screenlooking to be that big of a deal. The risk:reward:worthless ratio is pretty evenly split. Plus, split screen is usually for fun so there's nothing to get mad about. Then again, I'm calm when I play games but I know some people have very little self-discipline and can't handle gaming and slam/throw controllers all the time. For them, I guess this is a massive benefit as they probably can't handle someone looking at their screen for a split second. Although I wonder if the added lag would make them throw a temper tantrum.

If this works for Vita, does that mean it works for Vita TV? I've got extra monitors and TVs I could move from one room to the other (thank god modern displays are lightweight) and would be more inclined to go for that than spending it on a Vita.

actually the move away from splitscreen is one thing that has almost killed gaming for me. WAY more fun then online to me..gaming is supposed to be with friends IN THE SAME ROOM playing together..one reason im over gaming now..This will be the 1st console release I wont be buying. IM tired of it all..

Yeah you're right and how Nintendo has been doing Camera integration since the Game Boy Camera but you know, Eye toy started that too right?
