Has Forza Horizon changed anyone else's opinion on 30 FPS?

There are some games that work really well at 30 fps.. I never considered racing games to be one of them, until now. I was absolutely set on racers being at least 60 fps and I thought that's what made me love forza 5 so much.. Now that FH2 demo is out and I've had a pretty good amount of time on it.. I am completely off the "60fps or nothing" train.

FH2 proves that a higher res with a good detail and fun amounts of particles flying around your screen, for me anyway is > 60fps.

It still blows my mind how amazing this game looks for an open world game, it's the most fun I've had this gen on any system that's for sure. (MK8 is a close second). Holy racers this year.

i much prefer 100+ fps for racing games, but forza horizon 1 on xbox 360 looks pretty damn good (for 360). its not like i'm tolerating it either, it's just ... there.

Not once while playing the demo have I thought about the frame rate. That's should tell you/myself all there is to know

PGR4 was 30 FPS, and that game was awesome. For sure, it would've been nicer to have that game running at 60FPS, but it didn't stop it from being absolutely brilliant.

Same goes for Horizon, and the same will go for Horizon 2.

I will say though, I played TLOU:R and I tried both 30fps and the 60fps and the 30fps was horrendous in comparison

So if FH2 had such an option, I bet it would be quite noticable.

I didn't even know the first Horizon was at 30 fps, it was simply the most entertaining racer I'd ever played at that point, and graphically speaking for the 360 it was stunning at the time.

It is only because this gen people seem to be concentrating on the technical aspects of games more than so than previous generations, with the 1080P debate being at the forefront, that I even knew that the 2nd Horizon would also be at 30 fps like the first one, and it didn't bother me at all considering how much I enjoyed the first game.

FPS appears to be a gameplay thing more than it is for looks, and the positive buzz for Horizon 2 is through the roof now so hopefuly this has changed some people's minds with respoect to the 30fps thing....at the end of the day is the game fun or not? That's what matters to me the most anyways.

30fps is unacceptable for a game released in 2014.

it certainly changed lems opinion, back when forza 5 released and drivclub was scheduled to launch they claimed a racing game at 30fps is unplayable

the greatest driving game of all time is need for speed hot pursuit 2, i love how the cars handle no clue if its 30fps or what

No. I've always been more than fine with 30fps.

I usually get around 80fps, in racing games easy 100+fps. But the Crew beta was locked at 30 and man let me tell you, I don't know how you guys do it.

I play a lot of console games with framerates at or below 30 FPS, but I think it's disappointing that 60 FPS isn't a priority for many games on new consoles.
