Halo Wars 2 was the best selling game in the individual formats for the week of 25/02, and #2 when sales for a game were combined over all platforms.

The game deserved its spot. It had decent reviews, and is the best console RTS available.

Just goes to show how desperate console gamer's are to have that 'PC experience'. You know, the experience where every new game isn't another COD or Tomb Raider clone.

So are they going by windows 10 purchasers as well other then Xbox One versions? If that's the case then I guess GS had it wrong.

Unique quality titles like HW2 sells great. Cookie cutter not so good games don't as is evident by Nioh nowhere to be found. lol

For Honor Retains No1 Spot

On the All Formats Top 40 (Units) Ubisoft’s ‘For Honor’ holds on to No1 for a second week even though sales are down 72% over week 1.

Microsoft/THQ Nordic have to settle with No2 as ‘Halo Wars 2’ debuts at No2 for Xbox One and PC. The original ‘Halo Wars’ also debuted at No2 in week 9, 2009 – beaten to No1 back then by Sony and Guerilla’s ‘Killzone 2’ on PS3. Next week’s chart will have a hotly anticiptated new IP from Guerilla Games, as ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ launches on PS4 in the same week as Nintendo Switch. Turning back to this week and Rockstar/Take 2 remain stable at No3 with ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, as do EA, remaining at No4 with ‘FIFA17’. The second big new release from last week, Sold Out and Rebellion’s ‘Sniper Elite 4’ drops 3 places to No5.

Cool, that's nice for the fans. Wasn't expecting it to be at number 1. I enjoyed my time with it so far, mostly playing Blitz online.....seems like I only have the patience for that lol... Will start the campaign soon, just asking a few people on my list first who wants to do it co-op.

For honor taking number 1 spot was because its a combination of sales for xbox one and PS4.

Halo Wars is PC+ Xbox one. It not crazy to think Halo Wars sales on PC are digital? And i would not be surprised if digital sales for Halo War 2 on xbox one is high also.

So I'm not going to point fingers, but I am going to point out the hypocrisy of this and recent UK sales chart threads. When Nioh debuted and managed to land second after GTA, the thread was fashioned after that with little mention that Nioh actually was to op selling individual format in UK. Now this thread comes along and the overall chart is obfuscated and what's front and center is the fact that Halo Wars 2 won the individual format chart. So which one is is lems? You guys are the ones making theses threads. Would it kill you to be consistent?

For Honor is out for two consoles and Halo Wars 2 only out for xbox one.

Nioh was up against GTA Halo Wars was up against Sniper elite and For honor.

The more i look at it Nioh sales they are not that bad, but i just have hard time when Playstation fanboys hype games and they don't sell a few million. You have to wonder what the 56 million people who never bought Nioh what games are they interested in , if they don't want Nioh?

Lets be real here Ryse, Titanfalll, Dead Rising 3 all sales are over a million and this was at time when there was not even a few million xbox one consoles sold. Sunset Overdrive same probably only around 10-15 million xbox ones sold.

About 20 years ago was at the lakefront airport for an air show, sat just off shore behind the break wall on my boat and had an F14 flying low to the water and use us as his target, we're standing on the fly bridge, it get at us, hits the afterburners and goes full vertical straight up. Me and a friend looking straight up at it with the freaking boat actually shaking/vibrating and high fiving like no tomorrow. Get chills just thinking about it now. :D

All the but hurt fanboys in sales threads are always great. Better to be a gamer of all brands then a fanboy for one. Congrats to Halo Wars 2, I have heard the game is actually pretty darn good.

Old friend of mine is a pilot instructor and went up a few times in his single prop and handed me the controls and just said keep your eyes on the horizon and hold us there. Good stuff.

Definitely good news.. I'm really enjoying the game and it's good to see positive sales for the devs..

Since I'm to the point where I'm working on Legendary campaign and Gold medals, I finally decided to hop into the multiplayer.. And wow (even though I'm usually on the losing end), Blitz is certainly something special.. Considering the recent popularity of card games in the mobile arena, combining that with a light RTS formula is genius.. Much like Warzone in Halo 5, I'll likely be spending the majority of my time in Blitz..

At any rate, hopefully the commercial success continues and signals the possibility of future entries in the series..

lol how am I butthurt? Nioh did the same thing in its first week. You were claiming it was a flop, but have no issue with HW2? It's hypocrisy at its finest. Both games are selling well. And that's a good thing.
